From my experience as someone that does boxing and kick boxing, most trained martial artists are hesitant to just start fighting ppl over little issues because we know what the outcome can be. Rather let it go and avoid the fight.
And prosecution....(2 yrs kickboxing+6 yrs muay thai )
trained fighters will also get extra charges (assault with a deadly weapon) if the prosecutors find out about their past history. Many of these guys (if they fought pro or amateurs) fight for a living and will have nothing to prove by fighting a civilian. It wouldnt be worth all the consequences that would come down the pipeline.
