Everything you said resonated with me. I lost my mother to cancer at 23 and the rest of my 20s and early 30s were a struggle, to say the least. I'm now in my 40s and I can say it gets better although you'll always be grieving. But it sounds like you have a great outlook on where you are in this moment and where you're going. I love that for you. You got this!

that's the harsh reality of it all, the "always grieving" aspect. It's still something that I find myself a bit shell shocked with because some days the grief is so so heavy. But, thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment on this video. Hearing your perspective is helpful and reassuring ☺

Always appreciate your transparency, Seyi! I feel this a lot. Our 30's are very odd and not at all what I expected. I am also restarting many things right now and I feel very worried. We have to trust the process and believe this is the plateau before the breakthrough ❤️ easier said than done thoughhhh. Appreciate you!

so much easier said than done 😅 but i think what actually helps is knowing that we aren't alone in this feeling. primarily why i wanted to talk more about this because as much as I love hearing about the breakthroughs and making it to the light at the end of the tunnel, i have personally felt led to not shy away from sharing while i'm still in what feels like a bit of darkness ya know. thank you so much for watching 🤗

Have you considered doing therapy? I was a person who always had to plan ahead and didn’t like change. A lot of those qualities are actually anxiety. I have been in therapy for a couple years now and it has really helped me process a lot.❤

I have! it's something that's top of the list 2025. And also realized I deal with anxiety which was a fun realization, but we are pushing through!

"be honest with yourself" is a piece of advice that i've found the most helpful and at the same time, the absolute most difficult to grasp. there are so many ways the details of "yourself" can manifest, and without getting wayyyy too type-a, its really a complex equation of balancing what you are vs what you want to be vs what you prioritize (which may not all line up). then there's the constant nag of what the rest of "the world" (whoever that is) is doing, and resolving the concept of contentment vs complacency, consistency vs predictability, innovative vs genuine ... yeah it can get confusing. bottom line, you aren't alone. anyone who seems to have it all figured out is faking it. the heaviness of grief and loss will always be there, but like it or not, bearing that weight develops a strength that balances it out and gives you the ability to keep on going. along the way you learn to mute the noise of regret, and focus on the only thing that matters ... and that is what you do next. big ol thumbs up for this one! i loved it even tho it made me tear up. may God comfort you Seyi and you owe me a box of tissues haha

phew!!!! this is so wonderfully said. I've reread this over and over again and have come back to it once again. thank you so much for watching this video AND taking the time to share this because it literally describes everything that i've been thinking, especially the "balancing what you are vs what you want to be vs what you prioritize". and 😂 at the box of tissues!
