Man it just dawned on me that you’re about to hear Atlantic off of This Place Will Become Your Tomb. May the force be with you my friend. I dare say Atlantic is THE sleep token song.
Just the covers to go and then the next album! I am sure there will be a few that will be hard but I will look forward to that one 🙂
Atlantic is my all time favorite Sleep Token song. Always love seeing ppl experience that song for the first time.
Good thing he’s doing the covers in between. I’m a two-year veteran and even I wouldn’t go back-to-back with Blood Sport and Atlantic because I need to be somewhat useful to society and a puddle is definitely not that.

And I know you’re probably already recording the covers BUT, if I could: I recommend taking a day or so and just listening to the album straight through to really absorb it as a whole instead of as little pieces, and especially peep some of those lyrics. Give yourself a small break to enjoy it.

If it helps, I record in batches so there is usually a little break between listening anyway 🙂 At the moment I am trying to keep up the daily upload schedule.
@@BraindeadBreakdown I saw them last month (they were amazing, obviously) and I had seen the setlist beforehand and thankfully it was a Minimal Crying Setlist-only Ascensionism and Atlantic had potential moments for crying. But you best believe I still packed a ton of tissues anyway! 😅 If they had done The Night Does Not Belong to God, Euclid, or Blood Sport the whole audience would have been sobbing 😅

If I could possibly make one request though? I’m hard of hearing and you’re soft spoken with a low pitch voice, so when I watch your videos I have to turn the volume as high as it goes (even with headphones, including my good ones) in order to hear you properly-and if a notification comes in in the background while I’m watching I about shit myself! 😂 I was wondering if you could do your HoH followers a favor and maybe tweak the audio a little to make it a bit louder. I’ve done as much as I can on my end-I’ve got the CZcams volume set as high as it will go, plus either my computer or phone’s volume as high as it will go, I use headphones, and sometimes I still have trouble hearing you clearly. From what I can hear you’ve got a lovely, soothing voice!-it just happens to be right in the pitch range where I have hearing loss 😂 If there’s any way you could make your future videos just a bit louder, I’d be eternally grateful 🙏 If you can’t that’s okay too, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask!
I am still new to this and I am learning every day. I have had a few people mention how quiet the videos are in comparison to others so I have started trying to work on that. Hopefully you should see a change in the audio levels with the new videos (starting today, it is a new batch of videos) I will keep trying to refine my method and hopefully you won't have any issues soon! 😊

Dude, I never thought a song would hit me as hard as snuff by slipknot did. Then I heard this one and my soul just felt crushed by the way this song was so relatable and the pain and absolute anguish you can hear in his voice. That can only come from experience.

Hearing another man cry makes me a mess. We as men are expected to shoulder a lot of ridiculous things and not complain about it. It creates stress and anxiety. Hearing another dude actually cry and not act it out hits a nerve with me because he's reached his limit and has to release. We should be able to do this regularly without worry of what someone will say or do to hold you in a different light but its part of the testosterone package. Glad you opened up friend.
Before I forget, if you are covering their bonus songs - don’t skip on their collab with Loathe “Is it really you?” - it’s right up there with blood sport room below with emotion (although not as stripped back).

We may need to call an exorcist because that snare is lousy with ghost notes. Anyway, after I laughed, I cried, and I’m sure many of us did with you. I think it’s a beautiful gut-punch for a lot of us and the rawness of the Room Below version is impossible not to feel deeply. “Somewhere the atoms stopped fusing” destroys me every time. Sigh. I've been waiting for this. I'm with you and everyone else that this is the preferred version. He did a one-off intimate Room Below show that was him, a guitar, an electric piano and the three backup singers that they use live. About halfway through the show after it's him with a guitar he sits down at the piano with his back to the audience and takes off the mask. He ends with BloodSport and I'm not sure who was sobbing more - him or the audience. There are fancams of the performance out there, but since he plays songs from the next album I'd wait if you decide to watch it. And bring a box of tissues. There are messages from him between the songs voiced by an ai that are both uplifting and devastating.

::big hug:: I remember when I happened upon that video I thought it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever heard. After hearing it atleast fifty times it still brings on the tears. Tearing up with you brother. As a fellow musician, the part that I couldn’t believe is how consistently they create quality songs. Looking forward to the journey of the next album. Don't worry about it. When I first was shown Blood Sport it didn't click. It was a great song but I didn't quite take in the lyrics and the genius of the songwriting. It was when I sat down again in a slightly low mood and listened to it, I completely broke down. That song has been an anthem to a broken heart for me ever since. And funnily I actually often prefer the album version because I feel it gives more. The guitars work on me like a platform to scream heartache out. Even if the room below arrangement underlines the vocal more.
You'll grow to appreciate many of these songs on repeat listens more and more. I watch reactions simply with envy of having a chance to experience these songs anew again.

Told you that you would probably make it through the album version unscathed, but the room below gets everyone I think. It just hits different because of its acoustic quality and Vessel's voice is haunting and beautiful even without production from a studio. You can feel the emotions coming from him when he sings with such passion. I think that is one of the things that makes them so good live, is that he can sound exactly like the album because they don't have to produce his vocals for any pitch issues or things like that. He has the most perfect voice and it is showcased in TRB version. Glad you're doing the covers before you go into Atlantic lol 😂😂. Great song but you may want to have some Kleenex on standby for the next album 😅
