Lady, I have loved you since the moment you opened your mouth during auditions and started singing. It was also the last season I watched American Idol because of Simon's comment about your weight and the stage. Stronger is the one song that has kept me from suicide when I was at my lowest points in my life during a 6 year period with my daughter, son and father's drug abuse and raising 2 grandkids in my 50s. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU RICHLY MANDISA!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Mandisa! I was molested by my Grandfather who was a Methodist Preacher, and was told by my Mother that I couldn’t say anything to anyone because it would hurt his reputation. I never trusted anyone in my family after that. God became my Father and my source of safety! I knew that God was always there for me. Him I could trust! I have struggled with forgiveness for my Grandfather. I am now at a point where I am ready to forgive him. Because as you say, Jesus died to forgive me of all my sins so I certainly can forgive my Grandfather. Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability. Also, I have struggled with my weight and depression my whole life.
A Beautiful Faithful Woman of God. Will always Love you, Disa! You're with Jesus in His Loving Arms now.

The Bible warns us about food Philippians 3:19 Their destiny is destruction. Their God is their stomach. And their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly thanks. She made a choice to overeat. Overeating is a sin and sin is a choice we always have a choice that's why Jesus died for our sins so we don't have to die he took our place. So we don't have to sin it's a choice we make. If Jesus did not die for us we would have no power over anything it's a Choi ce I'm going to sit down and eat a whole pizza and a whole bag of chips and then I'm gonna eat all the ice cream I want because I choose to do it and yes I don't care about the consequences right now or God's boundaries and I know it's not easy I struggle myself but let's call it😮 what it really is Gluttony , And gluttony in the bible is a sin and sin is a choice
You're judging her but in no way does the Bible say overeating is a sin plus she was going through something depression at the time so that makes sense 😔🙏🙏🙏🙌 it's not like she was doing it for no reason have a little Grace and compassion while it is true it can become our God's that's only if we make it our first priority and only priority at the time before seeking him first and I don't know if that's what she did
