AWESOME VIDEO. I love my M3 but now I'm thinking of picking up the Pro for that 3x medium telephoto cam. Sometimes I want to zoom in on something without having to have the drone so far away because of the 7x...I've been doing a 3x digital zoom on the main 4/3 and it's a bit soft... but the Pro's medium Tele lens is nice and sharp

The best just got better, I will be upgrading from the original Mavic 3 to the new Mavic 3 Pro. I do agree that the internal SSD storage capacity should be increased to 32 GB in size, however I have numerous 64,128 and 256 GB Samsung Evo Micro SD cards in my various drone cases, so storage capacity is not a problem for me with client work.
The 3x Optical lens sure hits that sweet spot which I really really want, but that'd mean selling my 6 month old M3 first. In hindsight, it's a shame I didn't wait 6 months.

It's tempting, but I'm really not sure how much of a benefit it is over the mavic 3/mavic 3 cine. Yes there's a dedicated 3x lens plus the same two lenses of the mavic 3. Is that enough to spend another chunk of cash just for that? Sure, if you haven't got a mavic 3 yet, yeah go for this. But to upgrade from the mavic 3, I'm not convinced. I think I'd rather keep saving for the inspire 3..

@@AtortAerials ya you can select 1x 3x 7x on the right side. Those will be the optical lenses. Once you scroll or zoom, then it goes digital zoom within the lens ranges mentioned in the video.

Here's a question... Do you think this is the last and greatest version of the Mavic 3 before the Mavic 4 series. If so, it makes sense to buy this one to use with your RC Pro. As I assume a Mavic 4 would use 04 transmission and render my RC Pro useless. Thoughts?
I recently got Mavic 3 which was supposed to be an upgrade from P4P. To my taste, the sharpness and noise reduction on Mavic 3 is way too aggressive. On P4P there is a setting for this, allowing me to roll it back and get a more natural looking footage. Surprisingly, Mavic 3 doesn't have this setting. Or am I missing something?
Can this latest Mavic Pro be controlled by two controllers simultaneously? What I mean is, can it be operated with one controller being used strictly to fly the drone manually with the second controller being uses to control the photo/video on the fly by a second mission team member? I believe it's called a "Buddy-Box" type of setup.

In Europe this is more complicated. We have just been through the firmware process for C1 classification of the M3/M3 Cine. Now the M3 Pro's 958g weight makes it a C2 drone (50 meters distance from people/buildings with the A2 certification, 150 meters without). DJI discontinuing the M3/M3 Cine further complicates things. DJI really need to bring clarification as to their medium and longer term strategy, because it has become very difficult to judge when is the right time to purchase a M3. Wait long enough for the firmware to be perfected, but also try to anticipate if the drone will be replaced.......that's not going to endear pilots to DJI.
I am also waiting for a drone only option because I have a Mavic three already as we know DJI will squeeze out every single dime Possible from people that would purchase it regardless of having multiple controller sitting on the shelf just to get to their new flagship,just be patient. When they’ve drained all the profit possibilities out of the first run they will offer a bare-bones option right before they release the Mavic 4
Very tempting. It would come in handy for wildlife photography without getting too close and spooking or harassing them.
Just buy regular Mavic 3 the 7x zoom works great for that already. I'm selling mine. 😁 It does work great though for reals.

What I would have loved to have seen, is the ability to change the camera gimbal modules and just keep the same drone.
Are you able to use focus track, master shots, etc shooting in Dlog or is it still just standard profile for these functions?

In explorer mode you can seamlessly go from 1x-28x. In standard video mode you need to click the lens you want to use.
Do you have a video or can you post a video showing this? And what is the max resolution while going from 1x to 28x (ie. 4K 60fps)?

DJI needs to release an updated MA3. It’s been 2yrs since MA2s came out. 3yrs since MA2.
