Dave Lee Travis absolutely hated David Bowie, and never missed an opportunity to slate any of his music, which I can recall on numerous occasions! He even made the remark after this awards ceremony that one or two people were a bit ignorant, which when you think that David was as usual declining to make a long acceptance speech then you can be sure that Travis’s remarks were aimed at him, and the look on his face said it all!

He was at the 1975 Grammy Awards. Also at the beginning of his career he was at the Ivor Novello Awards and the Disc Magazine Awards.
