I must have been living under a rock. I am a new grad student and came across your Ted Talk. I had to run 🏃🏾♀️ to CZcams to find more of your talks. I am deeply inspired by your presentations. Touch by the representation.
In a lot of cases, Managers are just Title only and don’t really manage your job growth. In those situations, you have to become the Manager to Manage how they should Manage you. Carla gives a lot of food for thought on how to do it. But it will take practice on our part. Thank you, Carla.

I appreciate the questions you raise and the thought process you take us through when considering if it's time to leave. I really liked the exercise to step outside of myself and consider my strengths & skillset. Leaving a job, especially a secure one, can be scary, however, you gave me the tools and encouragement to evaluate what is best for me. Thank you for this great guidance.
The vast majority of leaders I have talked to is unable to articulate a “recipe” for success because they have largely relied on innate talent and/or luck. It is only until I found your channel and books that I realize there is a clear industry agnostic strategy for advancement. Your advice has given me not only clarity for my own development but also the necessary languages to effect organizational changes. I’m extremely grateful and I am watching this very video with my team.

I wasn’t sure if it’s because I’ve been in the same organisation for a long time hence I’m feeling uninspired even after moving to a new team.
