Hi Doc, So here's a difficult situation: I've got "Quicktime Audio" & "Screen Rec Audio" in my Playback Engine list and I'd like to remove them. Each time I start my computer, it defaults to "Screen Rec Audio" and a dialog box pop up, and thus I have to click to change it to my interface (Clarette 2x). Is there ANY way to get rid of these unwanted playback engines... pleeeeease?
I believe that Pro Tools is checking your system for any audio enabled devices each time it loads, so it might be hard to remove those (I have some annoying ones too, like the projector at my school!). However, I think if you select "Last Used" on the Dashboard after using your regular interface, as long as it was plugged in when PT loaded.

Hi Andy! Not sure what you mean by blocks the window? Do you mean you choose the playback engine and you can’t hit a button to save the change?
