    Although I got my RX28SE build video up a week ago, I'm glad to see you got yours up...as I previously mentioned, I knew yours would be considerably better...and, I'm glad it is, as mine probably won't actually help anyone. Approx 85-90% of mine was filmed while sitting on a 56-passenger motorcoach, half at the Pro Bowl, half at the Super Bowl (call it the "unfortunate part of having to build/film while working...lol). One of these days, my videos will be as 'polished' as yours, MSM's, Kevin's, etc...say, in another 5+ years. 🙃
    Anyway, fantastic job...and, to be completely honest, I didn't notice that front-end binding issue...going to have to dbl-check mine, to see if it's there. Another truth - mine isn't 100% complete. The servo, ESC, motor, & pinion are installed...but, I am still waiting for the Rx. And, as for my body, haven't even started painting it (work has been busy since returning from Phoenix).

    UPDATE: I finally had the time to check the front suspension, and see if mine had the same binding issue. Mine doesn't seem to have it on either side. Left & right sides, when (partially, or fully) compressed & released, fully extends back.
    So, I decided to remove the front bumper, and check to see if the lower-inner hinge pins were rubbing against the bumper (as you showed in your video), and there's no indication of such happening. Next, I checked to see if the hinge pins were flush with the underside of the bulkhead, recessed, or (as yours might be) 'pressing out' below the bulkhead.
    Best I can tell, mine are slightly recessed into the bulkhead. This leads me to wonder if your hinge pins might have gotten slightly bent, which could explain why they'd be pressing downward into the bumper, and why you've been experiencing binding. Might I suggest disassembling the front end, and checking your lower-inner hinge pins, to see if, by chance, they're bent?

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  Před rokem +1

      That would be very odd if the hinge pins were bent. Also, I am pretty sure I inspected them and even rolled them to check. I heard from a few other drivers about their front bumper mounts causing binding. Maybe it has to do with certain bumpers.

      @@TheShopMiniRC I'll check again after running the car (w/o body, as it still needs to be painted) through a few packs. Still need to solder the ESC to the motor, and the Rx was just delivered yesterday...plus, the batteries probably won't be here until early next week. As for the bumper, it's the Reflex bumper, for the LMP3.

      @@TheShopMiniRC In testing, I won't be running at "race speed". At most, I'll probably be going no faster than half that speed...especially since I have no clue of the chassis' 'handling' characteristics. The earliest I'd be able to test is next Friday & Saturday...but, as I don't yet know next weekend's work schedule, any testing is still "up in the air". In the meantime, I am hoping the weather is good enough tomorrow to take the finally/fully-upgraded Sledge out for its initial "post-upgrade" testing (the M2C Racing 7075 chassis has definitely caused it some "weight gain").

    I’m looking to get either the R-28, Specter or GT-GLR. I like having the ability to adjust the rotation resistance on the rear pod through the springs on the other models. Maybe I missed something but outside of dampening with grease, how do you adjust the rear rotation resistance?

    • @TheShopMiniRC

      its been changed a few times and it will totally depend on the motor you are running. If you're running a 4500kv, maybe try a 10 tooth pinion. I am running a 3500 right now and I think its a 16 tooth.

      I’ve been through a few. All run 53 rings and the pinion depends on the kv. Right now I’m running a 13t with a 3500. Not ideal, I need to get a 4500 and then will probably drop to a 11 or 12.
