- Hey Everyone!!
I made it to Portimão to try the new and revived 2024 CBR 600RR on track!!!
On this we have awesome suspension and awesome electronics!
I'm not the fastest on track, lost my mojo a bit since my crash at Almeria, but I'm having fun so that's what counts!
I hope you enjoy :)

That under seat exhaust is mindblowing 😍
Very pretty!
@@holylordofmadness6988so? still cool that they kept it on the new one
@@holylordofmadness6988why are you soo pissed and look at the new texture on it looks like carbon fiber and its just lovely to look at
Lol you guys are freaking out over ancient exhaust designs 🤣
@@holylordofmadness6988wtf is your problem kid
Having owned a 2006 CBR 600RR, this bike will forever have a special place in my heart.
I've got a 2012...luv it And I'm 60yrs old....😊
I honestly thought you were keeping up with John and then he gave you the wave and just sent it! (that's not a dig at your riding. It's just crazy to see how fast these guys actually are!) Really good video Kate, Great riding!
Lovely that the racers both hung around a bit to give Kate the line & teach her a bit. She's a decent rider but there's always something to learn from watching the likes of John McGuinness.
I'm too old for the riding position and the peaky power delivery would be tedious on the road, but despite that I still appear to want one... Nostalgia is a powerful thing!
It's a four stroke so not peaky against two strokes, however it does need revs to make power. For road riding you have no need for peak power as national speed limit in first gear and five more gears for a smooth progress. The slipper clutch and quick shift/blipper remove any sense of thrashing it, especially now that it's much quieter under euro-5. Ride safe..
4 strokes can be very peaky. I had a 1998 GSXR 750 SRAD new at the time, was all top end power and very peaky. As the 600s were too.
@MegaVinny73 Not compared to two strokes. Smaller capacity engines must use their advantages so small pistons enable high rpm for peak power. High revs are required to get what's available and makes for smooth engine braking too. Knowing how it works is key to riding up to the conditions smoothly...
I also owned an 03 cbr600rr. Put over 36,000 miles on her before someone took it out making a left turn in front of me in an intersection. I would have still kept riding it to this day, never had any plans to sell it. No electronics is actually a blessing in disguise for a 600cc supersport, its up to the rider to have the skill to extract all of the performance the bike has to offer.
I own the 2008 model because it´s the peak of the 600RR, but the European 2024 model is looking absolutely tempting! 600RR is back baby!!!
Yeeyahhh 🙌🙌🙌
How wonderful to have someone to follow while learning the line. Just super special.
Also, you did well and you are smooth. Smooth is everything
Respect for just showing your riding skill. You could've gone for the easy likes with a selfie stick on the back of the bike.
Well done Kate. I enjoyed watching you follow such a legend. Almost felt like I could hear his voice giving you instructions 😂. Awesome stuff
1997, ZX6R, Cadwell Park.........thanks Kate, the memories came flooding back!😊
You GO girl!!!!!🏁🏆
Thanks for the review, nice follow with McGuiness and looks a great bike, as a fellow 600 rider who last did Portimao on a ZX636 I know how much fun you can have there and with the right 2 wheels underneath you can’t go wrong. Thanks Kate
Great video, lovely bike and awesome track; thanks for sharing
What a beautiful bike, thanks for the thrill ride ya done good!
Thanks Kate. That brought back memories of doing up and racing my 650 4cy Suzuki in the 1980's. Ran Yoshy stage 3 kit in the motor and Kirker drag extractor exhaust system. Bit radical when riding on the street as she only started to produce power at 4grand and blew form 7.5 grand to 12.5 grand in 3 sec in top gear. Only got to 240k as the frame was crap. Great review.
John pulling back a lot there, I dont blame him letting her smash her fantasy riding with an absolute legend!
Well done Kate 👏
Watched a couple and found you witty, smart and funny. A new subscriber ❤
Thanks so much!!
I had a 2012 600rr. Great Honda bought it back in updated version and back at a great price.. You can see your great enjoyment of the bike, track and honour of following the leg end around the track and his lines. Fantastic looking bike, sounds great colour best ones. Take up racing BSB 😊
Had a 2004 version, loved it, definitely doing a demo ride back to back with the impending R9...
Bellissima moto e complimenti ate ❤
Really enjoyed this. Very nice of that fellow to take you under his wing and show you some lines.
that was awesome Kate............if only I was 25 again....I would consider to track this myself........again thank Kate
I was one of the first to own a rr there was less than 100 hundred in the uk at time I asked for the plate cx03 rcv & got it love these bikes best I’ve owned
I was blown away watching you with John that was brilliant 👍👍
Wish I could buy another rr but my wife loves bikes so I now carry her everywhere I go on my v strom 800 de great vlogs keep up the good work
Excellent riding Kate! Sounds amazing, I could be tempted- just don’t tell my knees or wrists 😂
I had to laugh when you were doing really well keeping up with Mr McGuiness and, then he decided to clear off😄. I can imagine you thinking OMG! 🤣🏍.
Haha I wasn't keeping up with him, he was keeping up with me 🤣 big difference
@@UsernameKate Well done on picking up the many late apexes that unlock the flow of the circuit. You can still get your inside knee over the apex without taking foolish risks on clearance or tyre position in the circuit. Good ride!
It's all about unlocking the flow!!! I wish I had 2 days there to really learn to connect the dots better 😊
That's a lovely looking bike! Love the red/ blue/ white.
Beautiful moment when the experienced driver shows up to help you out! Keep rocking 🎉
Can't wait to get my cbr600rr delivered 🥲
Very nice ride Kate! Track riding is so completely different from streetriding. Those leanangles, OMG. Good, hearing you pep up yourself!
M.B.E. was like, ok enough teaching class 👋🏾 🏍
🤣🤣 his 9th day in a row, poor thing
That bike looks like enormous fun, especially for the price! Great video.
Thanks!
This is good entertainment on a easter evening.
Living the dream ❤
Looked like fun. 👍
I remember following Sir John Surtees around Brands Hatch in the late 80’s. Not that I could follow him for long. From memory he was on a Patton.
Seems that he was underrated compared to Stirling Moss, yet Surtees will never be equalled as World Champion on two wheels and four.
VR46 is fast in a car but not F1.
SLH44 is fast on a bike but not MotoGP.
You were very lucky. Patton still race, I believe..
@@lonpfrb Patton do still race you are correct. I do not think anyone compared Moss to Surtees. Sir John Surtees is the best and most unique racer the world has ever seen. He will never be equalled. Hailwood had a good go as did Rossi. ( Rossi is winning 24hr car races). LH is not fast on a bike, he is not even National Standard. He would not win a top club race.
@classicraceruk1337 I was thinking of mainstream media who bring unconscious ignorance and confirmation bias, so prefer car racers. No disrespect to Stirling, lovely bloke, but I agree 💯 Surtees the outstanding racer.
Respect to Lewis for being into bikes too. Most car drivers wouldn't dare..
The Silverstone Red Bull outing he did with Vale is good fun (YT)
@@lonpfrb Main stream media, WTF do they know about anything. They are just a load of failed human beings. I ignore the ignorant tossers. My Dad was a compositor working for National Newspapers in 50’s, 60’s and 70’s he told me what these so called reporters were like. He also worked for Hansard before he retired, I learned a lot about the tosser MP’s from him. Hamilton had a go but that’s as far as it went. He is an enthusiastic amateur. Most good club riders would ride rings around him.
Wow that must have been amazing 👏 😍. Id love to have a ride on the new cbr 600
Lots of love and respect from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤️❤️
Love my 2007 600RR Kate. Mine has 3 way suspension set up front and rear, which makes the bike easy to set up for me and my style of riding.. But with mine I quite like the rawness without TC, QS. Mine is lighter at 180kg, but less hp, but it is so flickable as you say. But this is progress in the evolution of bike. Great bikes. Would I buy a new one? Yes if I had room in the garage and a spare 10.5k. Great video, I'm glad you enjoyed the CBR600RR.
Far too many twins out there atm. Loving how they scream to 15k rpm..
Much more my type of thing than a parallel twin. I hope they sell as many as they can make. Love the ride along on track, I do the same thing subconsciously when I ride on circuit.
Love this
Looking really smooth there Kate
Just trying to not fall off 🤣
That looks excellent
I guess we need to wait for a proper test ride. Thanks for the first ride 🫡🙃
I Had 2005 one Great Bike Honda Build Quality is Second none now with all the Electronics Quick Shifter and Blip should be Great CBR as Always been a winner in BSB and Super Bikes looks good Great Stuff Round the Track Kate following the Morecambe Missile Great Vid keep up the Amazing work your doing your Doing ❤
Great track. Will get there one day
So, this is where our biking worlds part company but..., when you do your thing on any track, I never wanna watch..., but despite that, I get pulled in every time, and find myself virtually riding the track with you. I now feel I wanna say how proud I am of you for conquering this track, and I am proud..., wow! Even though you are such a crazy chick! Stay well, ride safe and i'll catch ya on the next ride, maybe next time on a Norton?
Oooh I'd LOVE to get my mitts on a Norton
Great vlog Late + great bike , no slipees or wobblees, just stacks of wanging it around the track , could see and hear you loved it 👍👍 are you going to get one ?🤪🤪.
Haha its tempting!
That's a beautiful bike ❤️ - love the under seat exhaust as long as it doesn't affect handling. So usernamekate was blonde !😱
great riding.
I was!! Until it started falling out 🤣🤣🤣
@@UsernameKate oh yes, the girl who did my hair (before I bought the clippers) insisted on putting a big blonde bit in the front and it hurt like hell😩
Literally just been taught by a legend 🙌 Guinness 👏 well done Kate
I’ve got one on order. Be good to see your review of it on the road. 👍
Legend Kate absolutely unbelievable honestly didn’t know you could ride as well as that superb 👍👏👏. Mcpint is out the park tho eh saw him round the TT last year.
aw thank you! I just aim to 1) have fun 2) not come off! ahaha appreciate the comments
Sweetamondo Kate!!!
Hi Kate, your review here is one of the best l've seen ! and also your camera is excellent, especially the sound. what kind of camera is it ?
Great to see you on the track again and what a super bike . If I was 5ft 4 not 6ft 4 I would have this mini blade . Love the colours and that exhaust wow !
Nice ride..I want one.
Beautiful
Bellissima moto molto figaaaaaaa comprimenti ate ❤
Great vid Kate.....keep em coming 👍
So good awesome
The best sports bikes by far for the track (600). I don't want all the electronics though. I'd rather have an older ZX6R or a new R6. Far better
Oh my god... you got to ride with John Mcguiness... he is such a legend.. what an experience that must have been!
Love your channel, love your content.. are you planning on visiting the TT this year?
I will be going for the first time..and I cannot wait! ❤
Not sure I can make it this year! 😫
the new Honda turned out great 😀. the engine just wants to turn 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I'm curious when the competition will follow suit with a 600 (Suzuki, etc.) thanks for the video
I ordered mine last tuesday 🥰. Delivery in December 🥲
Looks awesome. You did a great spin around the track and LOVE the exhaust placement. Hope you do get a demo for the road and finances aside would you take it over your Gixxer for track?
I would purely for the electrics.
@@UsernameKate Seems a good while since you've been out on the Gixxer. Any plans with it for this year?
Might sell it tbh! Doesn't get enough use
My old days of gsxr’s & other sporty goodness, would love to flog this round Olten, but prolapsed discs in lower back say tough luck, just conceded to a Africa twin for the comfort,oh well 👍
You've got such a lovely voice, and the riding footage is brilliant! I've never done a track day so this was fun as heck.
CZcams should only do this kind of content
Great bike, great circuit.
It sure is!
Fantastic! Takes me back to memory of my 2005 600RR. Well done.
Thanks!
Hooray! Thank you for the video! I still think you should break into the audiobook narration scene. You’d be great!
How amazing to get a couple laps with John McGuiness!
More inline 4's, I love it.
Yep, great video, you can tell you are defo more into your track riding than you are green laning, 😂❤....
😍 Beautiful bike! 😍
Finally your back on track!!
Love the sound of that bike. Great riding Kate. 👍
That's a beauty and the bike aye bad either 😉
Don’t know what percentage you were talking to the camera or talking yourself through the track but it made for a fun ride from the computer screen especially with the 119 cranking it on.
Yes the video I’ve been waiting for❤
🙌 hope you enjoyed it
Wow! You are such an awesome rider!
This was epic! Well done Kate 👍🏻👍🏻😎
…fast riders always look so slow don’t they. Classy riding from mcguiness. Nice one Kate. Top work
"Im quite a small....human". Hmmm...I have questions.🤣🤣 great review.
*shoot, they're onto me 👀*
@@UsernameKate cat's out the bag.
Another couple of laps and I think you could take on Marc Márquez with no problemo's. Great upload Kate and fantastic onboard footage. QQ.
Haha imagine!! I wish 🤭
Hey Kate, I always enjoy your reviews. Softly spoken, very direct with the info and 😍🔥! Wheelbase looks short for a 6, but bound to be an enjoyable track machine for the lads and lasses that love the smaller cc and a very competent road tool
Gutted to have missed this one Kate 😢
Great vid theres a fella down south his other half is faster than him girl power Kate great rider honestly impressed most cant do what you do i am one them
Hey Kate how are you doing today looking forward to seeing this later on nothing beats seeing you on a sportsbike wearing your leathers and swanky helmet and dark visor ride safe lovely only one username Kate..!!!!
OK Kate, clutching the armrests of my chair here in assured expectation that you’ll teach John a few tricks.
Is it more comfy for the wrists than other supersport bikes?
nice!
No probs
As much as I want a Fireblade even after 40 yrs of riding this is more than enough for me but I would gather a Fireblade anyway I just won’t be able to wring it out for all it’s worth. Got some test rides coming up as the weather improves here in the Northeast of Ct and a decision will be made. Even the 500 deserves a trial but I’m probably going with this
So fun to see you on a track at full speed like that, look`s like a lot of fun. Great vis Kate! Keep up the great work!
Fantastic review.
Such a gorgeous bike.
Great review kate ❤️ Glad honda brought the 600 back. But in my opinion those little winglets are completely unnecessary and kills the aesthetics of the bike. Other than that its a great bike😁
‘Power!!!!’….. 😂👍
Aren’t you about to hit Sardinia, Kate? Already envious in advance. Please give my regards to the Nuraghes. 🤤
Get the Big One!👍
I did 😊
Does it come with inverse (GP Shift) gears? Or do you have to swap the linkage yourself
It wouldn't surprise me if you had to do it yourself but it's simple enough to do.
Già presa ❤
