St James cycle trail, Canterbury, New Zealand

Some video and photos of my trip to St James Cycle trail..I did it in 2 days cos I wanted to try out my new tent, but you could do it in one longish day, or there's numerous huts if you don't want to camp. I parked at St James Homestead and rode up the road to the start of the trail at the Lake Tennyson end, and while scenic, it is pretty grim, gradual uphill and very exposed to the wind..if possible, leave a vehicle at each end..
