I have searched for many videos regarding basic CAM introduction and this sits as the best. Thanks a lot professor. Hope you post more videos for people like us.
thankyou so much sir i am CSWE and waned to learn about CAM in solidworks ... in a single stoke you have given a lot of CAM knowledge and I am willing to learn more from your videos
Great video, I have been looking to learn CAM since ages but your video brought that day. Also, in my course we stress on the term "DEPTH OF CUT" can you please make it clear where did we use that in this video.
Up to 10 minutes everything worked, but past something must have changed in SW2020 because it all falls apart. Even opening the Mill setup is a bit different with checkmarks etc... No matter what I tried I could not get it to make an open pocket like you.
Hi, and thanks for an informative video. I followed the video, drew the part, generated G-codes and then machined the part in our CNC machine. BUT, every time the machine goes in z-, it happens when the tool is over the part so that it is pressed into the material. Is there an option to make the machine go in z- when the tool is on the outside of the part?
under the cut parameters, under the feature option tab, you should have an option to edit the "entry point", you can adjust the entry point by length and angle to a location off your part.
Can you do a part that has a second OP ? OP1 G54 then set a G55 for the second OP and maybe how to pick a different origin for the second op with out messing up the first ops origin? I can't figure it out.
Anyone know whether SOLIDWORKS connected has cam support? I won't get started on how horrible the connected part is, wish it was just a normal program without all the connected bs.
im an expert at solid modeling but its my first time on solid cam, i bought a useless mastercam tutorial before finding this and that tutorial didnt even open
by far the best tutorial I have watched for cam so far thankyou can't believe its been around for 3 years and only just found it.

Good stuff. Thanks for the Cam tutorials.
It's hard to find any really good CAM videos for Solidworks. Yours is the first that I've found that really makes sense. Thanks for the video!
Second this
Great tutorial, clear, very informative and just what i needed.

I know Solidworks since 2012 but the CAM surely intimidates me.
I see you're so specifically a professor, so details this betterer than engineering courses ❤

Creating impssible tto machine parts is why I adopted a style of extruding a blank piece of stock and making cuts instead of extrudes.
Thank you!!
Hi Prof, Using 'Define Machine' does not generate the default set of tools for my model, any advice?
Спасибо!
very nice
Its a really great and very easy to learn.. Thank you proffesor..

Thankyou!

under the cut parameters, under the feature option tab, you should have an option to edit the "entry point", you can adjust the entry point by length and angle to a location off your part.
you should also be able to set your Depth of cut to 100%, and set your step over to 2-5%, this will sidemill the part instead of end mill the part
Sir how I generate cnc programming after this setup

ill put that on the list
bunu gibi diğer cam özeliilerinide anlatirmısınız
good
Would you be able to post that PDF file please
My set up function won’t give me options

Hello sir
Can you tell me which year of software it is
this is Solidworks 2019
Great tutorial, but wow that's slow mill times in 6061. That part would take less than 2min on our machines.
Sir, can you give me a all of project file for mill and turn because i learn with your youtube videos.
Dear Professor Cameron, can I ask you for Your e-mail, I need to propose You something, but I don't think that is subject for CZcams? Kind regards
Why inch..
