@@thewanderer9559 WWE ISN'T a UK mainstay. And American football's chants aren't that passionate. Like, have you ever heard fans chanting all out in a JAPANESE wrestling show? What with them being also fans of JAPANESE soccer or baseball? NO! Japanese wrestling fans take their chants for granted because they're too used to watching HORSE RACING, which is also a staple sport of Japan.
Undertaker had the best comeback to the "What" chant. "Say what if you sleep with your sister!" 15:15
And that was the last time the crowd ever said "What" to Taker

It was actually to this day the only comeback that worked. Daniel Bryan's comeback just showed that the reason why people are still chanting it only highlighted that 20 years ago was when wrestling was better and it still is.

ECW fans chanting "you sold out". No shit, they're leaving ECW because they actually want to get paid more than £50 and a slice of pizza.
Both Kurt Angle and John Cena went along with the negative chants and eventually they are both one of the most loved wrestlers by fans today.

If I remember right, fans started chanting "You Suck!" during his entrance after he took a long time for an entrance in a particular show for some reason, and they played his music through several times and the fans got tired of it.

I’m a British guy who has always wholeheartedly preferred wrestling over football/soccer. I swear wrestling is the only time stereotypical UK chants are tolerable. At least here when we’re being offensive, this time it’s directed towards fictional characters

I remember hearing chance for John Cena. One half of the crowd would say let's go Cena and the other half would say Cena sucks. You practically had a 50-50 split.
