HBK had nuclear heat in Montreal ahead of his match with Hulk Hogan. If Bret Hart actually appeared when his music hit the ppl would've lost their minds.
Canada sucks.
EPIC!!!!!
I was in attendance. We DID go nuts for the music. Later in the show (as a treat) La Résistance won the Tag titles, HUGE ovation.
He was actually a face character at the time. He turned heel for one night only in Montreal because...well you know... 🤷♂️
They did lose their minds anyway.
Michaels in Montreal was a pure classic!.... he had everyone like putty in his hands. Absolute gold
That heat was enough to keep my house warm for 7days .
@@macewindu4396 a mix of his early pretty boy and Dx era runs
I loved it!!! When Bret’s music played I knew it was a work. 😂😂😂
I was in attendance. We DID go nuts for the music. Later in the show (as a treat) La Résistance won the Tag titles, HUGE ovation.
Fans are certainly not always right, that said, they are usually somehow not wrong
Love how Kurt sold being so pissed off. When you saw him come back as a "boss" and the fans serenaded him with "You suck!" it was essentially a badge of honour.
I think at that point he just embraced it.
Even when HBK came back from his brief retirement, he still has nuclear heat with the Montreal crowd. A born again Christian yet still had the devil within him. "Who's your daddy Montreal?" 😂
He never lost that 😈, just pushed it deeper inside lol
what are you talking about? hogan made him turn heel, so he was being the heel.
Christians say the darndest things.
Look, HBK will definitely go hell for that comment, he is christian as his pasta 😅
"And I'm a man who loves playing with boys" 😳 "Nonono wait a minute" 😂
Fuuuck...
Yeah that moment of contemplation of His face acknowledging what just came out of His mouth 😂😂😂 same as Steve Austin’s “You like nature?”, “You like boys?” “Wait don’t answer that one” to Ric Flair 😂😂
Probably sounded very cool in his head
HBK’s Montreal promo will forever be legendary.
He could've stopped after that first line and it would still be good.
Angle would purposely say the most messed up shit around 05 to get heat but his wrestling would make fans cheer him regardless bc he was so good
"I don't like the black people." I couldn't even believe him as a black man, he sounded like a parody of a racist person.
The kurt angle your mother taught me how will never get old 😂😂😂
@Prestin Hurshberry nah Kurt's comeback was just too smooth and cold af it's easily one of the best comebacks ever he insulted an entire arena with one sentence black airforce energy
@Prestin Hurshberry But JBL isn't as smooth like we weren't expecting kurt to comeback with such a funny roast
@@Agentsmithwasright Do you guys have below average intelligence? Kurt buried himself even more with that remark. Admitting that mothers taught him how to perform fellatio on men. lol, WTF? Hate to burst your bubble, but most mothers do S D.
@@Agentsmithwasright Pretty sure that comeback still had him admitting that he does do what the crowd was chanting.
@@ilikecheesecheese5076 Except Kurt also roasted himself
"You want Bret ?"
Crowd *cheers*
"You're not gonna get Bret because I SCREWED BRET"
One of my favourite promos of all time
He worked them well he embraced the heat he knew he was gonna get it was marvelous
@UCQflbrV%F0%9F%98%82%F0%9F%98%82T-MNpfajWgeYlvhw The fact that the Shawn in that segment was a reformed Shawn, imagine if it was the Shawn from the 90's😂
Fun fact: Eddie and JBL were close friends when Eddie was alive. Eddie was at JBL's wedding too.
Do you think this Knowledge makes you better than everyone else?
@@misterlister-wm2tj dang bro who pissed in your oatmeal?
@@JCAmerson my dad's new boyfriend
):
Santos, no really? You don't say 😏
HBK's arrogant attitude in the late 90's-early 00's was great In my opinion 👌🔥
The Marines in Syracuse loved it...
Hollywood Rock was OP Heel Rock but nobody owned Canada like HBK did.
Heel Batista was basically a Jersey shore member 😂
I'm surprised Vince hated Edge's "big fat failure turtles" line, since that is definitely something he would've scripted to made Roman Reigns say. Like suffering succotash
Same with Batistas. I don't get it.
that sped up “sexy kurt” part made me laugh so hard
With all due respect to Kurt and trying to clapback against "WHAT?", the most epic and visceral clapback against the "WHAT'S" was from Undertaker: "Say what one more time if you like to sleep with your own sister"
That Kurt one at a One Night Stand 2005 is a hilarious self-own.
Thanks for owning up to it Kurt.
The Undertaker saying say What if you sleep with your sister.
Taker's was great!😂
@@wallaceshawn-zk8iw his reaction after they said "What" was the best 😂
That was HBK at nuke level heat in the Thumbnail
"Think of the children, R-truth!"😂😂
The Toronto & Montreal promos are stuff of legends.
I was in attendance in Montreal and the crowd was INSANE for Bret's music. Later in the show (as a treat) La Résistance won the Tag titles, HUGE ovation.
Being a face is always great. Hearing the crowd praise you and cheer you on, its a wonderful feeling
Being a heel? Making people naturally want to hate you? Where your very face garners intense venom in your direction? Thats almost an art form and some truly are masters in their craft
Not even Steve Austin could consistently make the crowd hate him.
@@jp3813 yeah but thats more fans loving him that much. Really hard to hate someone that attacks the asshole boss XD
@@roonkolos Except they made him the boss' best friend, and had other wrestlers attack the boss. Plus, he was already a heel before ever interacting w/ the boss.
Triple H was right about people not liking the product because it doesn’t fit what THEY want, so they complain about it on Twitter or any where they can voice their boneless opinions. “jUsT sToP wAtChInG”. To this day that is so relevant 😂 thats the true definition of a mark
Agreed
8:46 that fans shouting "think of the children r truth" was always hilarious hahahahahaha
11:06 "I see fat people on the audience. I know you're paying for double seats, thank you very much"
10/10
Edge with the little Dudley boys LMAO! 😂
Vince talking about a promo being disgusting when he himself did the most insane promos in the late 90's and and 2000's.
Shamus got heat from Boston at one point for correcting how everyone pronounces Celtics (he’s not wrong 😂)
Imagine getting mad when an Irish person corrects you on pronouncing a Celtic word lol
I've always had a beef with their pronunciation of it. Yes, I'm of Irish decent. The Whiskey is strong with me. 😂 But, only I drink it on St. Paddy's Day with me Guinness.
The Dudley boys segment on “the rise and fall of ECW” is some of my favorite behind the scenes moments in wrestling.
Shawn michaels was the ultimate troll
The HBK one got me too and I was watching at home. After the fake Brett one I thought for sure that was hogan lol that was an awesome promo by HBK.
I loved Elias' jab at Seattle, partially because the SuperSonics were my favorite team.
Hbk and The rock promo was gold
Rock was be honest and accurate about Toronto. I love JBL back then he was great.
I'd love Leafs to make it past round one but history indicates Rock is right. JBL on the other hand was just cringe, and absolutely boring.
I still love kurt angles comeback he so cold " your mamma taught me how" was epic
😆What the hell are you talking about? Kurt buried himself even more with that "comeback." Admitting the fan's mothers taught him how to perform 0ral sex on men. Lol, WTF. How is that a comeback? I'd love to see you trash talking with someone.
Great vid. You forget sometimes how crazy wrestling can be. It's why we love, even if some don't watch it the same way like myself.
That you suck chat was hilarious
The attitude era was amazing!!
10:43 imagine Drax in Batista's place there.😅
Shawn Michaels in Montreal was amazing im sure Shawn had so much fun pissing off the crowd he was probably laughing so hard when he got backstage after
Batista shouting back at the kid shows he is all heart like he said and less head
Imagine a heal HBK vs a face Rock promo battle
I missed heel truth his promo and Character was lit
And I'm pretty sure JBL still has heat over his antics with Eddie...
Oh my God I remember watching edge that night when you started yelling wrong at all of the fans LOL I absolutely died laughing 😂😂😂
I miss 90's drunk & high HBK
Especially that infomercial in 95!
@@wallaceshawn-zk8iw him imitating getting a blow job was epic 😂
Truth smoking is such an odd thing to let happen.
Your mother taught me how is 1 of my favorites - Kurt Angle
And HBK's moment was awesome
I love the fact that they later just renamed Angels theme You Suck and the Time Colby Covington used it in the UFC that chant transfered over.
hey, that edge one was classic!
How the actual hell did Vince hate Batista’s promo? Man he really had no clue around that time
I think the Brooklyn crowd had a Full Sail Sucks chant IIRC
The Rock nuclear heat on Toronto Canada will be number 1
Shawn Michaels is the GREATEST wrestler of all time 💚 two runs with WWE (with two different styles and directions), full of classics within them 👍 banger theme song, good gimmick, great entrance, unmatched in-ring psychology, incredible crowd control, underrated mic skill, beautiful selling, effective finisher, memorable segments, legendary matches 💎
Unfortunately, despite his popularity, he wasn't known as a huge draw. When he was champion, WCW began to dominate. By the time he returned in 2002, WWE ratings started to decline again. Honestly, a lot of what you listed out have often been associated w/ the likes of Ric Flair.
R truth's Lil Jimmy Gimmick was Hilarious i loved that Concept of potrayal
If you think JBL was bad in Mexico, you should’ve seen Piper in Mexico.
The spit from Bret to Vince's face was 🔥
Remember 2004 WWE Judgement Day? Kurt Angle cut a heel promo that was in Los Angeles l. He buried the fans by saying 'I hope you people get the biggest earthquake in history!' That got huge nuclear heat.
December 22nd 2006 episode of smackdown, JBL's hot segment shouting at the fans for their approval of the inferno match at Armageddon.
Cool video
12:34 is where number ten starts
the fued HBK had with Hogan was the closest to the brash Shawn I fell in love with since after he found Jesus. I am unsure anyone will ever top HBK's Who is your Daddy Montreal as a heal. I lived for it at the time as there was a stadium filled with thousands of live exorcisms
MJF pretty much got nuclear heat every week since 2021 😂😂😂
@@sdonagmac2293 nah that kid is a love to hate type...doomed for a face turn at some point. IDK though as I dont really see much of him since like the thing with Jericho, when he was a home town hero in Jersey and when he did the Stone Cold Pod Cast...welll that was likely old and showed up in my feed...yeah no idea...if you you say so...
Love it when the crowd gets a taste of their own medicine LMAO
Shawn will always be money in Canada
So WWE edited out a promo where JBL did nothing but say facts?! That’s soft.
Ecw was that raw and uncut backyard wrestling TV show back in the day. The stuff they use to show and do was crazy.
Nah the Sacramento one is the loudest boo I’ve ever heard
Lmao that JBL era was crazy
Me me me me me….Oooh Canada
Was the stuff with JBL edited out of the Network when Peacock took over or was it already like that?
the Rock he was justified in turning heel in 2003 in my opinion. the fans booed him and called him a sell out for going to Hollywood and making movies he was booed for no reason at all so his anger is "justified" here and i would have been mad and pissed off too. the crowd/audience have always sucked and been disrespectful as hell like how vince always gets booed by the crowd and they keep interrupting him in the middle of a sentence and don't let him talk but vince mcmahon is a heel and the Vince Mcmahon character is a heel chairman of the board so at least with Vince you could argue he deserves to be booed sometimes and somewhat and to a degree but you can't say the same for the Rock John Cena or Kurt Angle. i don't blame Kurt for getting pissed off or censoring the you sucks chants the fans were extremely out of line there. i will admit the you suck chants were funny at first and in the beginning but the fans did go overboard with it and the chants did get old and boring after the first five or six months maybe six months of it. i think after 2002 and by 2003 "the you suck chants" they should have completely stopped. Kurt Angle he was right the damn crowd/audience is disrespectful. so him censoring them is "justified."
@Mr T the what chants were entertaining i like them they never got old or boring like the you suck chants. austin started the what chants right? i think they went overboard with the Kurt Angle you suck chants yeah they were funny at first and in the beginning for about six months but after 2002 and by 2003 they should have stopped.
I think it was something to do with the Rock's character also which was getting pretty stale so the fans booing him tells you it was a sign for him in need of a transition of reinventing himself.
Ever found it funny how the Rock got booed as a babyface for selling out but the fans started to get behind him once again when he became a heel as Hollywood Rock?
@@Radentstwo you know it kinda of reminds you of how the raw audience booed Seth Rollins in 2014 for selling out. him getting booed for that wasn't justified either. yeah the shield breaking up was sad and they were a very good tag team but i wasn't angry or pissed off at Seth Rollins for doing that because i understood his reasons and why he did it even before he explained himself and told us why i knew the reason he did it was for his career. think about it Seth Rollins taking triple h's offer/deal it was the right decision for Seth because if he hadn't it would have taken another two or three years 2014 to 2016 or 2017 for him to become a singles competitor and start winning singles titles/championships at least another two years so why wait that long when you can take a shortcut. Besides what exactly makes Dean and Roman better then Seth in that situation or morally superior what because they didn't take triple h's deal and didn't sell out well that's only because he came to and approached Seth first now this is just my opinion and I could be wrong here but i think if the game had approached and came to either Roman or Dean first they would have also taken the Deal and sold out.
@@coreynance3874 Totally agree, you're not wrong. Seth betraying the Shield was a step further for him to moving on to achieve more or bigger things like the world title, royal rumble, MITB etc.. He had spent long enough building up within the Shield, winning the tag team titles so there was nothing more they could have done than to split them up and go to that next level. Though fans see it as wrong for Seth to be a traitor, in Seth's mind it was only the right decision to elevate himself to rise to the top. Had the Shield stood longer they probably would have gone stale so it was the reasonable choice even though I think they should have at least lasted until later that year.
love him or hate him, Kevin Owens was spitting facts.
Anytime Kurt got into with the fans was spectacular
That promo from hbk is a classic is the best promo for a heel
The fan reaction when bret’s music played as well lol
They must of been fuming
I was in attendance. We DID go nuts for the music. Later in the show (as a treat) La Résistance won the Tag titles, HUGE ovation.
Is yelling at the crowd cheap heat? Yes. Is it easy to get? Absolutely. Is it wonderful to watch happen? 200% YES!
6:50 DAMN!!! 😂😂😂😂
Could you imagine if bubba did that today? 😩😂
8:22 Edge sounds like Michael Kelso from that 70's show. BURN!
0:22 LMFAOOO
"HAYYTCHE BEE KAY" lol
R TRUTH AND LITTLE JIMMY WERE MORE ENTERTAINING THAN WHAT YOU SEE TODAY IN WWE.
👏👏👏 JBLs promo. Nothing he said was false
Heel rock was as funny as heel stone cold. Comedy gold
I assumed this dude HBK was NOT safe at all whenever he was in Canada in the 90's. He def made sure he was hidden lol
Rtruth as a heel was so cool, once he turned face he went boring again
R-truth doesnt get enough credit. I remember way back in the day when he was called k-kwik. R-truth has been in the wwe for so long
Haven’t finished the video but I’m sure Elias burying Seattle for not having a basketball team is here
JBL was a menace lol
Who’s music is it in the intro of this? What does it say? ‘Want to? Tussaud’ or sth. Bugging me each time I hear it.
Rock was electric on the mic. He was like old school Rick Flair but faster
If y'all didn't notice when they're heels they talk on the same topic and say almost the same thing. I love wwe but I was unscripted promos. I want something unexpected
Heel R-Truth was amazing
Yayyy he said Toronto..hooray!!
Only one appearance from Hollywood Rock seems like a missed opportunity for sure
Is that Davari as a ref at 1:58?
1:04 thr rock is a awesome at his promo
Buh Buh Ray at Heatwave is a masterclass of a heel promo. Surprised they made it out alive.
Nah the promo you showed when you said Kurt can be serious is out of pockets lmfao
We need a "Big Fat Failure Turtle" shirt...
