    Hi Jonas, thanks again for the great review. Did you notice any changes in terms of comfort for the Pro ? I saw that the previous one was at 67, vs 64 for this new 2.0. Since I have a sensitive arm, comfort is a huge thing for me. Thanks , keep up the great work

    Thanks for the review! I myself come from the racquet history of RF97, Prestige MP (the older "real" MP), Prince 93P 18*20, CX200 Tour 18*20 - which makes me a control freak. I would usually just shrug off "Power" racquet lines like Ezone, Puredrive, etc. and naturally thought Boom fits in the category and never given it a serious look. Your review here made me want to test out one of my buddy's Boom Pro (2022) and I was pleasantly surprised! Didn't feel too overpowered, felt like the control was still there. Definitely moved the needle up in power, at the cost of some notches down in control. But overall still playable. Would love to test out the 2024 version and maybe even play around w some customisation! What customisations have you tried and what's your current setup? Have you tried leather grip w some leads around the hoop?

      The Boom is a great choice. I much prefer it over the Clash 100. It's also more arm-friendly than the Pure Drive but has plenty of power. Hi Jonas, I know you are a big fan of the Speed Pro line. I have been playing with the Speeed Pro 2022 myself for the last two years, great control and stability, great for two handed backhand, comfortable on the arms, but I still have trouble generating spin on the forehand and lack a bit of power on this shot. Of course it's a bit of an issue with my wrist swing as I'm more of an eastern grip fan. My coach is trying to get me to a semi-western grip, but it just doesn't feel right with this racquet. Do you think the Head Boom Pro 2024 racquet can help me transition to a semi western grip better than the Speed Pro 2022? Based on your review, I am considering purchasing this racket. Thank you for your opinion...🙏😉...

      @thebisonroom Před 2 měsíci +1

      I’ve just switched from the Speed Pro 2022 to the Boom Pro 2022. The speed is a great racket but it’s heavy and ironically feels slow in the swing. As soon as I started with the Boom I just got so much whip my backhand (one handed) was a completely different shot. A lot of people weren’t keen on this racket but for my style (one handed aggressive baseline) it’s great!

    • @thebisonroom
      @thebisonroom Před 2 měsíci +1

      Before anyone says it, I know they’re the same weight - but as soon as you handle them both the Boom is so much more manoeuvrable

    • @drexlerstanda
      @drexlerstanda Před 2 měsíci

      @@thebisonroom Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. I couldn't take it anymore and played my new Head Boom Pro 2024 for the first time on Friday. I strung it with the exact same string as my Head Speed Pro 2022 for the best comparison. For the main string I used a Solinco Revolution and a Head Velocity MLT in a cross, both at 22kg. It's still cold outside, so I didn't go with the voltage high. Any hybrid of a similar setup is a great combination on my Speed racquet, but after 2 years I still haven't found a setup that makes it easier to produce spin. If I don't get my leverage and swing 100% technically correct, this racquet doesn't forgive. But if I do it right, it's perfect. My problem is probably that after an hour of playing I get tired and I'm not good enough for this racket anymore. I had completely different feelings with the new Head Boom Pro 2024 racket. This setting is of course too loose, next time I will probably try to increase the tension by 2 kg with a hybrid or by 1 kg with a full bed Solinco Revolution or Confidential. But despite that I was able to keep control of the ball very easily. Producing spin was very easy on my weaker forehand, but so was my better two-handed backhand. The power that this racquet provides compared to the Speed is also very easy and most importantly accurate due to the added spin. After 1 hour of playing I was not tired at all and could still play my game. So after my first game with this racquet I have positive feelings and I think this is a good choice for anyone who has a demanding racquet and can't manage it...

I bought two head boom pros- 2022 model, and added lead tape to the sides and a little on the top and used that for a while. I found it hit less crisp than the Babolat. But i liked the Boom a lot!! However because of the feel and the crispness i went back to the Babolat and dropped the tension by two pounds, cleaned up my strokes adn no more elbow pain.
