The Dimension Chorus sounds are very inspiring, and couldn't help myself but play a bunch of Dream Theater clean passages, it just seems to fit so nicely.

      - Quick question, I tried connecting tc dimension with an analog preamp pedal and placed it after preamp in signal chain and noticed a Flanger like sound even when engaged and all buttons being off.
Not sure what the problem is. Any thoughts?

Great job on this side by side demonstration of these pedals. The TC is great, especially for the price. The depth of the Waza Dimension C pedal stands out in both Dimension C and D modes. It’s worth it to pay more for the Boss. Or, at least it is for me. Glad I subscribed with notifications last year. 👍🏽

Boss is superior of course in every way. Better buffer, wider, deeper sound, stereo ins and outs, plus the additional SDD320 mode. And it's made in Japan with high quality parts. We'll worth the price.

Great comparison. I like the Boss sounds better, it sounds fuller. But sometimes you need just a slight chorus which the TC will work as well. I wish there was a mix knob on the Boss.

I think a lot of the difference is that the Boss is buffered so the high end sheen isn’t lost due to capacitance... or are they actually that different?

    Boss sounds better
TC is what I am going with.
Plan on putting this in the effects loop of my Empress Echo System or Reverb. So it will do that job just fine. I like that the 3rd D is more subtle. I don’t think anyone will be able to tell a difference in a mix.

I just purchased the TC pedal and used it on a gig this weekend, with a Taylor 810 acoustic and a TC Hall of Fame 2 reverb pedal. I'm happy with it. I may have been happier soundwise with the Boss pedal, which to be honest I didn't know about until I started poking around this morning, but the big question for me, given the economic situation I'm in: Does it sound five times better? I paid $39.99 for the TC, and the best price I'm seeing on the Boss is $206 at Sweetwater. I think I'll just go with what I have. BTW, Phil Keaggy was my motivation and inspiration for wanting the Dimension C sound.

The Boss sounds (just) a little better, but costs 6 times more... in a blind test, i am not sure you could really tell which is which?
I could spend this money for a high end distortion pedal, but not for a chorus:
so, for me, TC wins after all.

The tc does a good job of replicating the boss effect, but the fact that the pedal doesn't have stereo ins & outs is a dealbreaker for me. So I spent the money on the DC-2w & now it sits right after the outputs of my hx stomp!

In 20 year playing, the only one that sounds really good is the old T.C. Choral Flange. All the moderns sounds poor and flange-like with no deep and sounds worst than a zoom 505.
