    Dear Euge, your videos and music channel are one of my favorites on CZcams!
    Recently I first press the Like button and then watching your videos!
    You became a highest standard for quality, guitars sounds and such a great interesting content in your videos! And also giving amazing examples and demo songs for each video, as here Mr. Big music band, which is one of my favorite!
    God bless you and all people here, greetings from Bulgaria from one of your huge fans there! :-)

    For me CE5 sounds nicer. Simple, one pedal and thats it. Base on your videos I’m on the way to sell digital HX Stomp and go pedals and valve amp. Like always Im huge fan of yours playing. Man, so effortless. Amaizing. For those who dont play it looks so easy.

    • @brandonjackson5865
      @brandonjackson5865 Před rokem +3

      Behringer and TC both make clones of the dimension chorus pedal that are supposed to be pretty good. I have a Behringer chorus that’s a CE5 basically and it’s very good for the money around 30-40 dollars I think now, mine was 25 a couple years ago. Anyway if you want a dimension chorus but don’t have the money for a boss the TC and Behringer are some good cheap alternatives.

    Hi Euge, I saw this video a while ago and just came to think about it. When using the pedal as outboard, don’t you risk phasing issues because the pedal still has dry sound coming through? I’d think the d/a and a/d conversions would shift the dry sound slightly and cause issues. The arturia plugin has a kill dry option but I don’t think the pedal has.

    • @nine9nein780
      @nine9nein780 Před 7 měsíci

      Usually when parallel mixing dry signals you risk these phasing issues if one of them has been through an ada conversion and the other has not.

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  Před 7 měsíci

      I have lots of outboard gear and haven’t had any issues with them 👌.

  • @cunjoz

    the dimension is of course legendary, but if I had to compare it to the ensemble, it has more of that cocked wah vintage tone while the ensemble has a more flat, watery texture which I prefer.
    nevertheless, awesome video, awesome tones, awesome riffs.

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  Před rokem +1

      Yeah that’s pretty good too but sounds like shit in mono. It really shines on a stereo setup 👌. The solid state clean channel is pretty much like a Roland JC to me. The MP-1 SS channel has been my go to chrystal clean on many productions.

  • @hawkeye2816
    @hawkeye2816 Před rokem +1

    I find it can be tough to get the DC-2W subtle enough for the gain I use. It's great for clean, but it's just too wet for distortion for me. I have a Boss Super Chorus clone that I can turn right down and it works well for distortion, but then it's not enough for cleans. So I have both on my board.

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  Před rokem +2

      Yeah it works better with od tones as an fx send track when mixing. It’s probably blended in with distorted rhythm gtrs on every mix I’ve done in the last couple of years. It just adds this nice depth and widening to rhythm gtrs when blended in that you really notice it when it’s not there👌.

      @EugeValovirta230V  Před rokem

      Probably everyone (in the 80s) and most of the time they didn’t even know that.
      I’ve used it on probably every album I’ve mixed and 99% the artist / bands aren’t aware of it ’cos they’re usually not that interested in the mixing gear; only if the songs / album sounds good 😎.
      Andy Wallace uses it a lot on his mixes and from him I got the inspiration to use one. Especially on bass. He uses SPX90 too a lot like me 😎. If you listen his mixes the bass (and many times some guitars) has a chorus almost always. Think about Nirvana’s ’Smells Like Teen Spirit” for example.
