You are a Right *LEGEND!* I've done this before with my older Mitsubishi Lancer (CK2/Mirage), and came here for a refresher course on how to get it done. I have the Tie Rods, so I am referring to this video to get this done!

Thanks for this! Just got my tie rods replaced but since there are tons of potholes here in Chicago, I might have to replaced them again but don't want to pay $100+ for a shop to do it.

  • @acspex

Thanks for your videos! I just replaced my tie rods. I didn't figure it would be too difficult as I have done it before on a Mazda about 10 years ago. However, I had no idea how easy it would be to DIY on the alignment. When I took it for a spin my wheel was moving to the left a bit just as yours was so I did like you said and I got it perfect now. It runs so much smoother now and I probably saved a few hundred dollars doing it myself. Next time I need something fixed on my Lancer I'll check your channel again for sure. Thanks again!

I believe on front FWD cars you want a slight toe out because when in drive they push the toe slighty in so they make them slightly toe out to compensate for that and your wheels are actually straight while driving. RWD make tires go slightly toe out so they do the opposite for the front.

    • @CardScapeGame

If your steering wheel is going to the right, and your wheels are equal beforehand, then you'd turn each tie rod up instead of down equal turns on both sides??
