Let them battle it out. A few weeks ago I found all these dead ants on a pathway . the only thing I could conclude was they went to war as I dontnuse any pesticides on my property except for a barrier against my house and that was just one time because I saw cockroaches in my yard and didn't want them making it into my home. They never did. I also used baking soda around the perimeters of my home too.

That is an interesting concept I’ve never heard of before! We don’t have an ant pile in our garden and honestly I can’t find any in our yard, but we have ants all over the plants in the garden. Ive tried cinnamon and cayenne pepper to no avail. The ants foster the white flies and aphids and make a buggy mess in the garden.

That's true about ants actually using their antenna to milk the aphids "honeydew" for food. At the end of the season ants actually take the aphids down into their nests where they have stored the Honeydew so they can all survive the winter. In the spring they all come out, have a party and then repeat the process.😩 I have yet to hear or read about a useful purpose for ants in your garden except that they till the soil. But I think they do more damage than good.
Now, I'm pretty sure that's not a good idea to piss directly on the plant. You have to give the microbiological critters in the soil a chance to break it down first.

I subscribed after watching this video a couple of days ago.
This morning I was talking to my husband about your video and he was very skeptical because we have done everything imaginable to get rid of fire ants. SO, I forwarded the video to him and after watching it, he was out on the property with a shovel like a crazy man LOL piling ants on top of ants everywhere he could!!! It was hilarious! :) :) :)
Thank you for sharing. We look forward to seeing the results and I am excited to have the ant piles out of the garden! :) Maybe the ant battle (war) will run any survivors into the woods NEVER to return!
    Blessings from N. Alabama ♥

@@jamclibusmar About 2 tablespoons of cinnamon is enough, no matter how much wood ash you use, no need to mix. I normally put them both in a bowl, sprinkling the cinnamon over the ashes. Make sure you cover the ant pile completely with a thin layer, you don't have to disturb initially, wait a few daytime hours and disturb the pile. If you still have ants make sure your ashes and cinnamon are back on top and disturb the pile again in a day or so.

I researched and found this shoveling method. Lo and behold it worked. It was a lot of work to shovel ants on a 5 acre lawn that had been uninhabited for nearly a year, but we did the work. Now no fire ants. This method is the only one I know that will exterminate the red fire ants.
