So I was initially going to do “Vlogmas.” But, since I narrowed down my niche to Horror movie reviews, I decided to invent my own little holiday that sort of replaces Vlogmas, but horror style.
I call it Happy HORROR-DAYS! Which I will review Christmas related horror movies about 3 times a week. 😊

ahhh this makes so much sense. as a small business owner myself I work the most around the holidays, honestly all of fall through christmas as a candle business. but when I see my favorite creators doing vlogmas I’m like “I want to support and watch their daily uploads but I hope they aren’t overworking themselves!” turns out we are all willing to overwork ourselves a bit for the payout that is the commercial holiday season. it truly keeps business going for the slow quarter to come. thank you for this eye opening info!!
I love vlogmas because I get to spend time with people who have become genuine friends every single day, even if they live far away. I met some of my BookTube friends last summer and am hoping to go to the UK next summer to meet more.

I was always wondering why this was a thing. I'm new to getting into CZcams and you totally convinced me in another video you did about CZcams but now that I understand better, let me get to work!
Last year we went to 25 Christmas events and it was so much work and it tanked our channel, so NOPE! We didn’t make the money back we spent on all the Christmas events. So this year, we just went to our favorites and called it quits.
Well I guess I'm just wasting my time then. I've been doing a Vlogmas vlog for the last 7 days straight and I'm just a teeny content creator. I was hoping that my participation in Vlogmas this year for the first time would put me in front of more potential subscribers. If it's just about adsense and profits only, I may as well stop and go back to my regular schedule.
It might increase your watchtime though, which puts you on path to monetization.

@@kazzaroo 👋 Hi! This comment was from last year. It's Vlogmas 2023 now. But I can tell you the results are about the same for me this year. My regular viewers are watching my Vlogmas videos, but there hasn't been any increase in subscribers or watch time. I enjoy doing the vlogs, but time and energy wise, it hasn't been worth it for me. Today is Vlogmas Day 8 and I'm stopping at day 12. What I've noticed is that larger channels with more subscribers tend to do well with their view counts during this time. Unless my subscriber base grows substantially, I won't be doing this again next year. I enjoy it, but the overall results aren't worth it. Hey, but Merry Christmas to you and your family which is the real reason for the season. Maybe God is trying to tell me something...?🤔

I totally forgot about vlogmas until today. I was going to film mini vlogs daily and post at night but it seems everyone got a head start and have filmed in advance 🙊 December 2nd I’m still considering what to do haha

Admittedly, we are doing the vlogmas thing this year but decided to spread it out instead of 25 days straight in Dec, we are beginning in November.Still 25 vids but that way we can also maintain our current foodie content rather than going completely off the rails and losing our fan base. We are focusing on supporting the Canadian foodie businesses and products that we love over affiliate codes. So not every product we are featuring is something we are making money off of. We've also opted for promo codes over affiliate in many instances so we can better serve our audience.

Is there any benefit in doing Vlogmas if you’re not monetized? I’ve been looking forward to doing it but I’m also balancing not burning out so just wondering if it’s worth the push for us baby channels?

See my channel was doing great , my RPM was 25$ & I’m a #STORYTIME channel. Now since I’ve been doing Vlogmas posting daily my RPM dropped to 11$ & my videos are no longer getting pushed. From my opinion Vlogmas is hurting my channel in every way 🤦🏽♀️ someone help me understand 🙌🏾🙌🏾

I'm super new to CZcams and had no idea this was a thing. But I started seeing literally EVERYONE talking about Vlogmas and figured it had something to do with money. It seems exhausting! I mean I get it, but I don't want to vlog that much so if I'm monetized this time next year I'm just gonna plan ahead

I love your videos about Instagram, youtube, etc, but this one was very odd. First you made Vlogmas sound negative and “all about money”, and then you said it was fine. Very confusing, Volgmas is a good thing, people desperately need money right now, and can’t get food on their table for their families this holiday season, because of inflation around the world. Putting out the vibe of judgement on Vloggers doing it only for the money isn’t right. You’re a blogger too. Why did you frame it in this negative way instead of encouraging inspiring CZcamsrs that we SHOULD be trying to do it. It isn’t wrong for wanting to make money.
I never said there was anything wrong with wanting money! I even talked about how I also ended up doing more videos than I usually would in November/early December because I had more brands coming to me. There's nothing wrong with that - I just thought it would be interesting to highlight the economic underpinnings of vlogmas, because a lot of viewers aren't aware of them
