Hello from rep of ireland , love the channel, just got a 202 sauer and love the saftey as I have arthritis in my hands I can't work the 404 saftey, pity as they are lovely, would love a vid on the 202 any tips on using it, I like it so much I'm going to get another in 22250
i cant get the fore end of my elegance stock on...its so tight im scared i may break something if i push to hard. Are they known to swell at all?.
Is the deer skull below the sheep skull a roe deer?! If so its a giant! Great review BTW. I purchased a Sauer 404 of the back of it. The new cocking safety was the deal breaker for me.
I'm confused by the safety? You say that after loading a round - the safety lever must be pushed up to cock the action (pre-firing). Can you push the safety up before cocking - so that the action is ready to fire immediately upon closing of the action? Does it need to be pushed up each time the action is worked? I'm thinking of dangerous game - makes no sense to have to push up the safety lever/cocker before being able to fire the rifle. Maybe I don't understand?
Maybe the action is not cocked only if the lever is in the down position? And cocked if the lever is all the way up when the action is worked?
The Sauer 404 is an amazing hunting rifle. I might give you an argument on it being the smoothest bolt action. I find the Sako 100 just marginally smoother, but,it is still smoother. The 404 does have a better caliber selection though.
Have you actually found a Sako 100 on the market anywhere??

Maybe is stupid question but i must ask for help. What you suggest r8 or 404? Someone tells me no buy 404 it is to complicated?
Personally, I would NEVER go for Blaser. Just my opinion....
Blaser R8 bolt is way more complicated build than traditional bolt with decoker. All I can really say is try them. I have 202 and did buy R8 Ultimate. Sold it after one season, it just didn't feel right, and that's what hunting is all about. Feeling. Went to try 404 and now I want one, it felt good, like home. Dont try to reason yourself out of buying a rifle because someone said something (I did, and I was not happy) afterall it is your rifle and you should feel great with it. No amount of making sense or better this or that is not going to change feeling you have. If it feels right, buy it and never look back 👍

A very nice rundown of the Sauer 404. English as well, even more delightful. The rifle looks very impressive. I will try to get to one of the Game fairs around the UK in the summer. Then, I can have a close look, put some hard earning to the side and see if I can keep hold of it....

Very nice movie. Beside the explanation of the details of the 404, also some very good explanations about training and ammo test. You can't say it enough that training is major issue in handeling a rifle. Well done.!!

On the safety, I own three R93's and the safety was different from American rifles but I got used to it quickly and marvel at the genius behind those German engineers.

These rifles interest me a lot. Very elegant and technological at the same time. They are expensive and perhaps I'll own one in the near future.
Great video and great rifle. Pity about the 9 month wait time on the 404 though. And when I got mine this week, it came with the wrong barrels, the wrong stock finish, a faulty trigger pull, the wrong scope mount, and the wrong case. So their engineering is good, but as a company they clearly couldn't organise a beerfest in a brauerei

i want to know the details ballistics of the round. That will tell how much power and accuracy it has
Thanks for the nice review. Since you know very well about the S202 , can you tell me which Sauer Rifle Case should I get ? Mine is just a standart S202 300 Win Mag. Could the case for take down versions also work ?
