For those who can't see the difference, it's in the very beginning, when you put the needle to the thread. With the French knot you can just lay the needle onto the string and start wrapping. With the Colonial knot you have to start with a sort of half wrap up the needle
Ohhh. Thanks for saying, I was wondering whats the difference so I came to the comment to see if anyone knew.
Thank you so much! I never knew about the colonial version and it's so much easier for me to do since I don't have a hoop.
This is so nice to know that somebody else is into Colonial Knot, it looks like everybody is into the French Knot 😁
Thank you for showing close ups for both 😊😊😊
My pleasure!
colonial knot's been such a life saver 😅
Yessss indeed!
Could not work out the French knot via diagram that says rap thread around needle.
Your video made perfect sense. Crossing the thread as well as rapping around the needle.
Thank you sooooo much ❤
😊😊😊
They look exactly the same to me....even the method 🤔
Hmm, they might look very similar, but definitely the method of wrapping the thread on the needle is different ;)
I see no difference either...🤔🤔😕. I played it back several times too. I thought it was just me.
Its not just you, I dont see any difference eighter 😂

It's the rap then the figure of 8 but before putting the needle into the fabric.
The figure of bit is the colonel part.
