Meet the Central Park Dance Skaters | Pumped

Boomboxes, big hair, and neon jumpsuits - that's what you'd see at the Central Park roller skate dance circle when it began in the 1980s. Though the outfits and music technology has changed, the retro roller skates have not, and the Central Park Dance Skaters continue to bust incredible moves on eight wheels, carrying on a tradition more than 30 years in the making.

The dance skaters are an incredible group of people and the atmosphere is like a piece of paradise. I was so lucky to stumble upon skaters circle a few years ago on a visit to NYC, I will never forget that afternoon dancing, true joy.
