This is probably the most beautiful, completely badass boat Ive ever seen
Can you imagine this black boat in the Florida sun. You can catch and fry you catch right ON the boat.
everything about this boat is so amazing. Not only does it look bad ass but it's insane the fact it's put together by welding plastic.
Unbelievable! This boat looks very strong and low maintenance! Great!
3:36 Well that's a fucking relief
I seen a company in Florida making plastic work barges. They said they were even self healing if a sharp metal rod went through the hull and was pulled out it would still float! It was at Big Boy Toys Expo in Punta Gorda.
Cool vid Alfred. Low maintenance is my kind of boat!
He was explaining that once the hull is shot the bullet hole gets considerably smaller once penetrated.
Alfred Montaner I think it has to do with the immense pressure used to make the poly panels. Once the hull is compromised in terms of pressure via a puncture that area’s material expands at the hole making hole smaller. That was kind of how it was described to me for the work barges. Definitely cool.
Yes it floats because of foam filled
Love the design the fact they want make boats that easy to service your self is awesome. This is a boat I could see my self buying.
Love the raccoons! I had a neighbor that had one for a pet that they raised after being abandoned. Was incredibly smart and affectionate.
"Tell us about the boat."
"...the boat itself floats."
I think its awesome and i have been building plastic boats since 2007 built over 41 boats so far. The biggest to date is three 45'x16'x4' that will hold 40 tons all plastic. And black is the best color to use. Glad to see more in the US.
Kalvin send me a couple of pics of your builds @luxuryribtender@gmail.com
Alfred we just missed each other, i was working down there in Ft Lauderdale up untill 2 weeks ago.
I was at a marina (were Nautical Ventures was) building them, my partner down there would not pay me what he owes me.
That boat and a Batman costume.... at the docks!
Black plastic boat baking in the hot sun... ouch.
Lol
grow like the wind - ok paint it pink
Agreed..
@@-freespirit-3314 or maybe white like 97% of boats
Ya, i saw a guy that was trying to build/market these boats and he was using black plastic sewer pipe i think. My first though was touching it when its sunny out!
That's my kind of boat! practical, modular, easy to look after, no need to worry about scratching it.
I love it!
Obviously the comments about the plastics deterioration from the UV exposure is a concern but later developments will soon take care of that.
Now if you were to make it 60' long and add some cabins etc I'd buy one of those beauties!
Poly is horrible in the sun. It's used extensively in industry for its low coefficent of friction, easy to cut and weld, wear resistant and specific gravity. Making it good for pipes handling coarse slurry or hard wearing protection for high impact areas. But the downsides are what makes it a terrible boat construction material. It has terrible thermal stability issues. It attracts heat from the sun and gets HOT. But worse than that it is constantly contracting and expanding. Pipes runs of only a few meters need huge expansion zones. The constant twisting and shrinking of a boat that is half in the water and half in the sun is going to create huge issues. The hull will never be straight. Causing all sorts of handling repeatabiliry issues aswell as lots of stress points. Not to mention the transom has a ton of motors hanging off it, that's going to flex big time and cause stress where the transom meets the tubes and deck. Looks great, but in reality it's a bad idea. Everything in engineering has a trade off. If it's too good to be true, then you are only getting half the story.
Here in South Africa we use these as tenders and military boats. They last for years.
" the boat itself floats "" lol that's good to know.
"Oh yeah its a boat"
LOL my fiberglass boat floats also
I believe what he was trying to convey was the fact that even if the boat were to take on water, the boat would not sink.
You guys are morons he meant to say that because lots of similar boats have inner tubes for floating like ribbed inflatable hual boats.
Lmao. He means the boat material floats on its own.
Just want to remind them to retrieve the part that was thrown into the water.
Yeah turtles matter. But ten fish would use it for sun shade.
I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING! like who is gonna swim for that lol?
Watch the guy that threw it, after he threw it you can see him looking an smiling to someone left of the camera, the person that's off camera is the one that went an got it out of the water, they're not going to leave the cover for the storage compartment out there in the water. I understand that you want to make sure no one's giving boaters a bad name by littering but I'm also fairly sure they got it back.
Yes OCD prevented me enjoying the rest of the video
Very cool man! I dunno about the heat and hummidity factor in the black boat, I would love to test that. But it is amazing and very nice looking, definitely a stealth night boat for sure.
Stealth at night is not something you want in a boat. Being run over by bigger boats is a big problem in the boating world.
Kool boat n awesome raccoon crew... If ya train'em right they be loyal for life!
Really cool and innovative, keep doing ur thing. Loved the intro
Alfonso from Atlantic did great !!
This is a legit video man, I see your editing is coming along too. Keep up the great work!!
I need to get one of this for my doomsday preps..
So sweet what a machine!!!!
It’s basically made out of what Pelican cases are. Incredibly tough, won’t sun fade or have normal drawbacks plastic would have.
its " livin off the land " saw this this boat and you on the bow looking impressed .
You should stick to talking about the boats. The theatrics makes the video look really cheesy.
I am cheesy 🧀
@@AlfredMontaner it's only black colour? So, is it getting hot? What's a solution?
Straw hat
Paint it.
Nah, cheesy is refreshing, just like this boat, and different. If you want stale & sterile, there's plenty of that (if not most) out there on YT.
Nice boat, but ego trippin guy behind the camera...thumbs down
I agree with this comment
Agreed... I stopped the video around "where's your lifevest" shit then scrolled to the comment section and now im leaving this video and never returning
Hahaha he's funny af idk what u guys talking bout lol
@@whatdahckisgoingon1971 that part was pretty stupid no lie
@@bayarearaised1894 I was only here for the boat last time so i decided to give this video a second chance and i guess it's not so bad?
Ho my God a boat that will not rot,an answer to my prayers🙏
He said 0 maintenance!!!the end of the video a guy is scrubbing the hell out of a boat that requires maintenance.....from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠
yo this dude asked the raccoons if they “wanna go back home or what” 🤣
Yeah, that boat would take punishment just what I need. Thanks for the great videos.
As the owner of a triumph, this is a f****** sexy boat. Indestructible too!! Well done sirs!! Homeboy sounds like my old Bjj coach 😂
That boat looks awesome! 👍🏻
It was sick 🔥
It’s going to be Gray in two years. Lol
No, I got a pioner boat (from Norway) made of polyethylen and the color is still ok after 12 years. PE is a perfect material especially if you have rocky grounds. Scratches dont matter, no water inside the material (like with GFK) and unsinkable. You can throw a 50lbs stone in this boat and it will simply bounce back. Coleman makes canoes from PE.
No can aways use back to black when it discolours but 400g fk that
Really? Always a negative Nancy. Truth be told it doesn't fade, secondly if it did you do what you do on every other boat wrap it or paint it. You can also use a light sand paper if you want to every 15 years or 20 years take 1/32 of a inch of with a bigger with a 6 or7 inch sand paper pad and a fine fine sand paper taking that to layer off . Like buffing the whole thing but with a sandpaper removing the thinest layer. Getting rid of the weathered/ faded top layer. Which won't really fade but if you like to for OCD purposes. Or just spray it with a black dye and rub it in let dry it's permanent for this type of plastic. Or spray it with a black paint like every one else does!
It’s basically made out of what Pelican cases are. Sun won’t matter.
Technology/science is an amazing thing. Plastics and other materials that used to fade and break down with UV exposure no longer have that issue... 10-15 years ago your statement was correct. Now though, not likely. Consumers who buy this product arent the fool. The fool is the individual who made the comment you did :) sorry, truth is cruel.
Alfred your channel is bad a$$ bro! My wife LOVES your channel, this one being the only channel that she will cuddle up next to me while we watch together! Keep this AMAZING content coming!
Amazing great looking boat
Monster boat “I’m indestructible!!!”
The Sun “ let’s find out”.....
Yeah I bet it warps, cracks and has a multitude of issues. I’ll stick with fiberglass and Kevlar.
Or aluminum. I am really liking these aluminum fishing boats in the PNW. Lots of potential for some great designs,
It's black to make it last in UV plastic is loaded with carbon so it's black. Cheaper than putting carbon in a colored plastic.
Look good, is a good plastic oven.
@@markf3416 @Mark F who told you that ,, or where did you get that from ?, I guess you missed the part 40+ yrs of use ,,dont think they will spend there time,,making such aboat , that will warp, crack and have multiple issues ,etc as you stated.
Love this
It's about time someone come up with plastic boat.. that's cool
I thought we were trying to keep plastic out of the ocean.
Dude set one up for fishing and I'm in. That things boss
Imagine the size of the 3d printer...
Just longer shafts and rods
Brilliant idea specifically if it's made from recycled plastic. Much more durable than any other product presently used even aluminum. Don't see any planning chines so would think it would possibly broach a little with a following see. I would continue with higher gunnels towards the aft also a higher splash-well.
Bad ass!!! This is a way cool boat...i love the "4x4" concept
So freaking cool Alfred!
Guy behind the camera needs a slap
The raccoons were different. The boat was awesome.
Badass Boat, I’ll get one for my creek in West Virginia so when it floods I’ll be ready
It costs about twice as much as a traditionally manufactured boat.
Cool looking boat so glad it's flows
I need one of these in Alaska
Does the anchor float?
Yes it does, this makes it so much easier to retrieve and you have less chance of losing it in a reef!🤣
They shot themself there. Lol
Joseph McDonald }
Nice question😂😂
Awesome/sick looking watercraft.
It seems that having an animal crew would be against some kinda of laws, but people use horses and cows to do work all the time. The Coon Crew looked well fed, happy just to be there, and appeared to enjoy what they do. I say good for you and your Coon Crew, and the amazing work they’re putting in for the team. If you could teach one or send it to school to do your filming, it’s like hitting the big jackpot. Everyone wins, even the coons. The advantage of using coons as boat mates is genius. No uniforms,no life vests,no need for night vision, they’ll work for marsh mellows and Mountain Dew,and they’ll never leave. I think getting a yard crew, and perhaps a cleaning crew would be sweet. Looked like you had enough to start a breeding program, but you may need a female. You’ll also need at least one male, and boom. Good luck buddy and my hats off to the Coon Crew. ✌️
how cute they are..the dgs guys😂
:)))) mate they Lions not dogs.
At 11:12 in the video he is basically saying that the you must keep the boat moving for the black color not to be hot... LOL
Take it out on a hot day for fishing or swimming and lean over the side or sit on pretty much anything other than the shaded suspension seats and you will quickly wish it was white, light gray, light tan, light blue, or even yellow. Not to mention that it will be harder for other boaters to see you on the water so you will have to stay clear of everybody. You know distracted driving is getting worse these days so I would want the boat to be very noticeable.
He said it is the same as owning a black car. I've owned a black car, and I'll never own another. I don't even want another vehicle with black interior as it gets too hot as well. But it is nothing like a black car since you don't have to lean against the side of the car to tie off at the dock, anchor, or land a fish.
Maybe that boat would be great for an extreme cold climate region though it would need a fully enclosed cockpit area.
He said the boat is fully customizable but is it really only available in black???
Plastic itself is a really poor heat transfer so it won't get close to as hot as a black car that is made out of metal.
I LOVE THAT BATTLESHIP BOW !!👍
Alfred the "Runny behavior KING"
Would cool if they used recycled ocean plastics tho
You must be riveting at a party.
@@southerngypsy1894 You're not cool, shut up.
I would still be pissed that dude threw the damn lid of my storage into the current. Bro at least throw it off the other side so it floats towards the boat haha. Very impressive boat. I just wonder if the sun ends up messing with the plastic material fading it etc.. and how hot it might get to the touch
I tell ya Alfred, I miss Florida more and more since watching your videos! I'm kind of hooked on getting a ribbed boat here in SC for the lake. Missing my salt water experience and regret not taking my Century boat to Hollywood to take my brother out.
Well done guy's and great interview.
I would love to see this in about a 17' in a jet boat component. The only issue I see would be rough open water unless it has some bilges. At least it seems to me it would be rough in rough water.
I swear I see you all the time at haulover. Cant be many other people with this boat.
Looks amazing
If you trailed the boat , or kept it out of the sun , I'll bet it would last a life time . Very cool looking ! Like an ocean pick up truck .
what does trailed mean?
3:36 the boat itself, floats. Well i fucking hope so lol
The material
Awesome boat but 40 years is a big call - plastic boats do have their problems with distortion over time particularly in the keel area
If it’s garaged and only run at night and on cloudy days, maybe a canopy if day running in full sunshine, a bib or bra across the bow .... I can see it lasting a long time ...
Awesome!
If you need someone to run one around the Alabama/Florida coastline for some living advertisement... I'm your Guy!!! 👍
Really digging the design!!!
Looks great in and out of the water...
i saw you on youtube channel " living off the land " with this boat heading out and coming back in. lol
Me too!!! Lol I said there's alfred
I like how you mixed the rib with the rabies...🤣 and id say a big no on a plastic hull, at speed, its bound to distress.
I don't think so Billy these guys wanted to go up on the rocks at the jetty but i told them NO !
This thing is so beautiful holy
Really cool!!!
Alfred, it looks like a really cool, down to earth reinforced PVC plastic boat! What is the impact resistance on it? Will it crack easy?
If it's pvc it will sink. Unless it's foamed pvc. Density of pvc 1.4... will sink..
I see a bunch of dochebags in the comments making fun of the guy's misstatement "the boat itself floats". He was talking about the material the boat is made from - polyethylene. You could cut the boat into 100 pieces and all those pieces would float. That's what he's talking about. But it's easier to make smart comments on youtube rather than understanding what is actually being said.
Was gonna say the same. Nothing better but to pick a part of someone that has broken English. Lame.
White knight 👌
Sweet, looks like a giant jet ski
Nicely done
Park the boat in Arizona for 5 years and see how that works out...
Lol petty
Probably the boat is from plastic material made from Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK), mostly used to replaced metal on some military hardware
Poly prop. Used in low pressure piping of abrasive slurrys.
More likely HDPE(High Density PolyEtheline).
@@highlorddarkstar my mistake yes that is what i meant. not sure why i said prop.
Love this boat!!!
there have been Norwegian work boats like this for fish farms for years ,, but its still a bad ass looking boat.
400k for a 28-foot boat and twin engine????
We think it's a little way too much.
People can get a main brand boat over 32-35 ft with triplets or quads for that kind of money.
120 K will be a good price pushing it
No, man)) 120K )) 300K minimum
Lol 400k for a plastic recycled boat! Didn't see anything monster about it other than the monster crazy price!
Monster on the price
local florida be more specific.., twin outboards.., but what brand? twin suzuki’s?! if it’s 400K i’d better be seeing them twins with 7 Marines Outboards!!! not a suzuki’s! what a joke 😂🤣😂🤣 ima good with my Stabicraft Boat for my offshore fishing....
Brand new Grady White Canyon 306 with 300hp...around $250k
Lets see how long your boat will last in my Caribbean sun. One season and its call Hot!
Bro it's a Brazilian boat in Brazil it's hot all year pay attention on the video .😜🤪
I love it!!!
Wow , without words
400k for big seadoo spark nice
Is that Tony Montana filming this 😂😂😂
That’s awesome
Even the Raccoons knew that was something special
what about UV degradation? also what about the the durability of fittings mounting?
It looks like PE plastic, so the same material as a waterlines they put underground, so a tough material that won't "rot" or crack or even turn grey.
Turned off at the 12 second mark
Beautiful boat
Great idea... Looks great in black...but it's going to be a floating oven...
As if the ocean doesn't have enough plastics in it already, nice.
"The boat, itself, floats."
I would hope so. Otherwise you have the start of a new man-made reef.
(yes, I know what he really means is the density of the material is less than that of water, don't get your panties in a knot)
wow! i love it!
Very cool
Here in the Midwest when you see a raccoon out durning the day coming at you, better get away quick
I just said the same, its most likely got rabies.
Thats an old wives tale. Raccoons can be out at all hours. In tropical places like South Florida and Central America they are out at any time. You'll even see them on beaches hunting crabs and lizards.
"You guys think i got money, or food?"
Money is human.
Food is multi-lingual.
I don’t know if I agree my 105lb Shepard eats around $100 worth of food a month lol
@@ARTWV you are buying the wrong food
These plastic boats are actually ingenious. It's sad there aren't more of them! They'll outlast humanity. They tend to be limited in terms of the motor that can be put on...
These will rot from UV degradation or if the plastic they used wasn't stable.
Here's the thing.. Being that it is primarily made out of plastic the cost should be substantially less than that of a traditional fiberglass or steel hull boat, we're talking 65-75% less expensive in terms of material and production cost. And if they were to eliminate the need for plastic injectable molds and just get a few enormous 3D printers so they can save time and money on the production side by not having to plastic weld the boat together in pieces rather just have the printer make the boat entirely and then attach the pieces on the final touches they would cut production costs even more. So for a traditional boat I'm figuring a decent 28 foot center console is around $200,000 making this 28 foot plastic boat closer to about $50,000, the actual boat without any electronics or engines should be less than $15,000.
The boat itself floats 😂😂😂😂
Why would you want a boat that can't float?
