FRUITS OF OUR GIFTS BY EUGENE SKEEF

Big Big Sing was the UK’s biggest singing initiative. It started as a project connected to the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Its aim was to get everyone in the UK singing. The idea was inspired by the beneficial effects of singing in all its forms. Singing promotes wellbeing. It’s as simple as that! I was commissioned to compose a song as part of the vision of Big Big Sing. This is how Fruits Of Our Gifts came about. I was hugely honoured to get the opportunity to conduct my song at the Commonwealth Games for an audience of forty thousand to sing it in four part harmony. That was an unforgettable moment.
