I love love LOVE Zooey! My dad worked for NASA in the 1960s, my youngest now works for Virgin Galactic ( I’m just a … person), so this doll is EVERYTHING!
Oh, and when my youngest was finally in possession of a house we owned, we had to paint her entire room the same exact color of Zooey’s skin (called Chernobyl Green by my oldest)!

I will say when I was a kid I love dolls that came with accessories. So it totally makes sense to me that kids today would also want the same.
I thought Karla was going to be my favorite, which I still LOVE her, but Zooey is just beyond perfect!! There's so much about her that resonates some old memories in my child-like heart. Her hair reminds me of the Spectra dolls from the '80's. They were robot/alien dolls with chromed-out bodies and tinsel in their hair (it was the '80's, go figure) but I loved them. Her eye makeup is stunning! I love the little circles above her eyes, so sci-fi and conceptual! I love how there's a monochromatic look to her which lets her astronaut coat pop so much more! I just love her so much!!
Her face sculpt is brand new. If you look under her hair on the back of her head it reads 2023. So does Karla's. I have no idea about the others, but I'm hoping that either Rex or Glitch will be my next purchase.
I have an idea about the hangers still coming with the dolls despite the lack of a second outfit. So, it's been confirmed that all these Shadow High and the next wave of Rainbow High dolls are fashion focused. Plus, we are supposedly getting fashion packs (please, let them not be blind bags!). I'm thinking the fashion packs are going to be competition based designs done by these new dolls and possibly the theme for the next animated season. I could be wrong but... we'll see.
If MGA does Novi Stars, I hope they improve the designs. Because they could use improved mobility and hair quality 👌 😉.

I have Zooey too. On mine the earholes are actually placed correctly on the earlobe.
I heard that there would be RH/SH fashionpacks but if you can't wait you can also find hand made clothes for RH and SH dolls on Etsy. I also found some galaxy themed leggings for RH and SH dolls there 🙂
I'm also a huge sci-fi and space nerd so she was a must for me. I'm playing No Man's Sky and have Zooey on my pc desk watching me play haha 😅
Well with the hangers maybe there will be some fashion packs? They can be so stupid to out useless pieces in. I just still have hope. My NoviStar collection is 5-6 dolls do I would love for them to come back too!

Including the hangers when there is no second outfit kind of confused me as well. The accessories are fun, but for a doll that's still sold for 37 EUR where I live... I don't know.
I agree with you, an outfit would have been great, or a space pet❤ accessories always get lost.
I recently gotten into doll collecting, and these rainbow/shadow high dolls are the dolls I'm collecting. And this Zooey doll is my grail! I purchased her today 🙈 but here in Scandinavia they are crazy expensive.. bought her on a Danish site and paid 66+ dollar.. but I really want her, so hope she's worth it in person 🙏😊
I'm Dutch and yes, they're more expensive over here in Europe. I paid €39.00 or €40.00 for mine but I thought they were really worth it. I'm kinda jealous that Americans can get toys for so cheap and that they're so abundantly available over there 🥲

I like more of the series 2 shadow high characters than I did series 1 but I really would've preferred to see a price increase with the same 2 outfit setup as before than pay the same amount for less. I wish they would've made accessory packs instead so those of us who want dolls for display rather than play could save a little that way. All that being said, I'll probably still get Zooey and Monique, but I'll probably wait until there's a deal

There’s actually two versions of Zooey with slightly different make up and the other version the hole is in the normal spot. The other has darker eye shadow and lips.
I would like to see them get pets in the future instead of hangers, maybe some cool colored pets

i dont like all the accessoires, they should stick with the second outfit .. because that was amazing.
As much as people are asking for articulation, I hope they don't. Articulation would limit or make it really expensive to do the cool gimmicks they had, specially the gooey fluid legs etc.
I kinda hope they don’t do gimmicks, some of them were cool like the goo legs but articulation for a doll is essential. The goo legs actually stop working after a while and that was the coolest gimmick. Gimmicks are usually a sign that a doll like is close to cancelling and doll lines that do gimmicks don’t last very long.
@Blayne Myers in my opinion, gimmicks is what made Novi stars stand out. Without gimmick they'd just be cool looking aliens.
@@DoIIyMama I can really only speak for myself and my friends, I was drawn to them because they were cool aliens but their lack of articulation made me try to put one of their heads on a monster high doll, and then never buy another one cause I only had so many monster high bodies. Like a lot of doll lines do gimmicks every so often and it’s usually a sign a doll line is on the way out when they do too much of them. Some gimmicks really work for a while like lol’d surprise packaging but like I think novi stars gimmicks held them back.
