Thank you for making this video. While for you, and many others on CZcams, cameras like this are a joke, for some of us this is the best we can do. While my phone has a good camera, there are times when using my phone is not the most convenient thing. I wish you would make a video showing us broke people how to make a cheap camera like this work. I just don’t have $300 to buy a camera (and I am aware that $300 is also considered a super cheap camera).
Right on. You mention not being able to afford (or justify) $300 for a camera but the Sony he compared this to is $3,500. That's 35 times the price. Thirty five.

I love that there are pros on this platform with gear like that because I enjoy their content, I just wish there was more support for those of us on severe budgets who want to create as well. I am working on a channel anyway, using a cheap camera and it’s all trial and error. Every time I try to research how to get better, almost all of the advice requires more money than I have.
I've seen "cheap" cameras at around $600 and it's considered entry level. Plus, most of the time they're inflated so it's even higher. I have a pretty expensive phone, S22 Ultra, but I want a good camera as alternative when taking nature pictures, yet can't find anything good for the price. Paid $800 for my phone and paying $800 again for something similar to the performance of my phone is just not what I want.

@@Juno_Kujo the difference between a phone and a camera is mostly the manual control that a camera affords you. If you want to get started, you can pick up a camera like the canon rebel either used or refurbished for prices as low as 400 dollars. It seems like a lot, but it's worth saving up to get a proper camera rather than spending 100 dollars for a stopgap solution.
For me the quality of both photos and videos is perfect for aesthetic style. So i’m still okay with this camera.
for us small creators, it’s the best we can do. my boyfriends mom was sweet enough to get me one of these and you CAN make it work by getting an external microphone and light. i DO plan to get a better camera in the future (hopefully i get this job) but for now, it’s what we can do. thank you for the review

@@southenchamp1 my HONEST opinion is that quality and sound is not that great to be honest…it’s an ✨okay✨ starter camera but i DEFINITELY prefer a better or “high end” camera and that’s what i’m gonna do once i get more funds

I tell you it's a fact that people have begun successful CZcams channels with this very camera. They understood it's value. They could not afford more, choosing not to use their phone. They don't know enough to buy used gear. With Amazon They probably won't even have to return it to vendor that obtained them for $4.00 a piece at 6000 Qty. I pulled that price off Ali Express right now. And I know of two people posting content produced in that very camera. They may be wiser than the two of us. God bless.😉🙏🙏
You are incorrect about micro SD cards having lower quality than the larger cards. They are the same.

SD and micro SD is the same. Equivalently rated cards will perform equivalently. The only difference is that you can get larger capacities and faster speeds in some full size cars that aren't available in the micro size cards. The circuitry is the same which is why you are able to use passive form factor adapters.

I feel like this is a bit of a harsh review. Um, I just bought something similar to this, and it's not that bad. Yes, it doesn't have immaculate qualities like professional cameras, but these are ok for beginners. I mean you have to understand cameras are very expensive. Even the Sony zv1f is $399 on a good sale day in bestbuy. It doesn't even stop theres. You need certain lenses for certain effects, lighting, external microphone..etc so the cost can easily exceed over a thousand dollars. The cannon 35mm lense is $499 right now, and that's a *sale* price for LENSES. So this is what most people can afford when getting started.
What I like the most is the off-road autofocus and the build in wobble mode

The most important part of any set of photography kit is the smelly bit that holds and operates the camera. With a very limited budget it is better to buy the best quality of basic camera that you can afford. You can then get all your work executed by the camera to a reasonable quality.
Be adventurous with your "beginner's camera"! Remember what you chose to do for framing the image, for choosing the moment to take the photo, and why you chose it. That way you will learn about yourself as a photographer, what results please you or do not please you, and why.
In that time continue to put money aside so you can buy a reasonable quality camera, with just enough choices to make for you to apply what you have learned about photography and about yourself as a photographer. Do not be impressed by the characteristics you do not need! And keep your starter camera, because there will still be times when not having the time to take any other decisions than "point" and "shoot" will oblige you to go for simplicity.
You will waste money if you pay for features you never need to use. You will tie up more money for no good purpose if you start by buying what the retailer wants to sell you than if you buy first a "starter" camera, then a well-selected sufficiently advanced camera. What are the chances you will continue to find the "starter" camera useful? Very, very high.

This camera has absolutely bizarre settings, and almost all of them lie in some way. For example, 1080p 60 seems to actually be 720p 60 "upscaled" to 1080p, and that mode is wildly more saturated than the other modes.

10:43 "4k not not a photo term" - says the person not realizing this camera has a fixed aperture or that there are microSDXC UHS-II V90 cards -:) FYI: 4k is equivalent to ~8 Megapixels..
My 6 year old son was asking to borrow my Olympus and Lumix cams because he is fascinated by photography at a young age. I love to support him but not willing to lend him my cams. I bought this for him and it meant the world to him. I guess this would be a good starting point for him. Composition first. And no, I don't have plans on giving him a phone just yet so "training" with phones is not on the table.

Thanks for the video. I almost got it. I like old digital point and shoot cameras for photos that have old CCD look to them and this isn't even close to old cameras. It cost $75 now and even at $75 you can find an old 6-10 MP camera from any other major brand that will blow this out of the water. Even the old ass 70D at 6 MP can be found for $30, and will absolutely crush anything this camera produces lol.

I super dislike this “review” cos this guy doesn’t seem to know what he’s saying for a lot of it. And he’s encouraging people to just buy expensive cameras when most people literally CANNOT AFFORD anything more expensive and the cheapest good quality ones start at £450+. The BEST camera is whatever you have + the thousands worth of lighting, mics, software you have. Just because YOU are privileged and have money, doesn’t mean everyone else has this.
Use whatever camera is available to you/what you can afford, don’t listen to an knob who has the most expensive equipment and seems to have forgotten that everyone has to start somewhere
I appreciate your feedback! I did work super hard to get the equipment I have today from the ground up, so I definitely get it. I’m 12 years in the making.
However I’m pretty sure I said somewhere in here that using your phone might be a better alternative. So not saying you need an expensive camera, but a phone could suffice better.

Bought this thing on a auction for my daughter 9 today .

Ok I bought this or similar camera...G-Anika 4K. I am so confused by it. Also when I try to download to my pc through the sim card, the pictures dissappear. They do not show up in my photo program on my PC. I do not have much money, but need a good little camera with high resolution to photograph my paintings with.
