You notice that most 2nd installments of horror sequels always up the ante to Nth degree.
The special case is presented here with Child's Play 2 when Universal bought the rights from MGM/UA.
Ever notice during 1980-1995, Universal's was the leader in high quality special effects in the horror genre breaking barriers of the macabre and creature animatronics.
A known pattern also that carried over to their other film projects involving effective graphic violence (i.e. Scarface, The Thing, A kiss before dying).
Who knew that Steven Spielberg, of all people, was responsible for delivering the Child's Play franchise to Universal after loving the first film?
Once again, we owe Steven Spielberg all our gratitude and the high most respect. ☺☺
