Alot of talent on that stage. There all gone😢 but their music is forever. I hope when I leave this earth, I can hang out with them.
Can you play and sing??
Heck no, I'm 50 yrs old but Keith Whitley is my favorite singer. We share the same birthday. I'm from Virginia and my Dad love bluegrass and the Stanley's
This is real music
One of my favorite song's
This had to be shortly before Keith went mainstream. Keith Whitley will always be a legend. Thanks for sharing this! Bc of his untimely death, video of Keith is few and far between. A lot of his later vocals was built upon harmony bluegrass music.
Loved it

No matter what I say or do, his voice touches my soul!
Absolutely beautiful
June 8th 2024.
To make this even more remarkable, pretty sure the guitar player to the left of Ralph Stanley is a young Ricky Skaggs. There was a whole lot of talent on that stage.
Sorry bur it is Troy ‘Renfro’ Profitt (guitar); click show more
Negative on Skaggs. That is Renfro proffitt
@@M56777Rickey played with Ralph and Keith. Just not on this video.
He didn't play guitar in those bluegrass bands... Skaggs played banjo.
At that time I think Ralph played most of the banjo.
Guitar player is Renfro Profitt
TOO MUCH MOUNTAIN DEW TOOK HIM AWAY IN 1989
It’s way beyond good Border line 11
Yes it is Ricky Skaggs. They both were playing with the stanley brothers. At young ages 12-13
