yall dont use HDDs, instead go for M.2
It's pricey . And hdds are good for storing photos and docs
HDDs more durable and reliable
@@vhr9815? HDD are not as reliable as SSD, ever. The only thing SSD fail at is they need to be powered on at least once a year so the data can be continued to stored and operational.
HDD are better in that regard if. you use it once and put it in a safe dry spot for years turned off, it won't lose any data.
But for my home media server, I'm running SSDs because I know they will last a lifetime if I only read from them NOT continuously write.
just let people use what they can fucking afford 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@SATADELUXE then let them fucking buy it, not my problem 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Data transfer speed: 0.0001kb/s
And also it's at least USB 3.1 right?
How do you wake this drive up after it has gone to sleep ? File explorer shows it still connected but cant read from it.

NOOOO
do you know what year is it?
2016
Yes using old consumer HDD for NAS 🎉🎉🎉 an realilable und failure free storage system 🤡😂
It is pretty reliable if you have the know how and take care of it. To top it off there is also something called raid
@@ash-tn6fl sure, old random HDDs laying around for years, mixed together is always safe 🤓 exspecially with a no-named RAID controller you trust 🤡and set up with some chinese software, i checked the website, 50$ for it = is not an reliable raid device with usb 3.0. Best you read the amazon reviews, 3,9 stars with comments that RAID dont work. Like the most things come from china its crap and wasted resources.
From the video it looked like it was made for home use and using raid 5 - i think it should be enough redundancy for most people.
@@Bierbueckiyeah i got some hdd drives pulled out from old laptops and it's been running fine on a raid setup since 2017
edit: rephrase
