- in this video I made a real flowing paludarium waterfall in a glass tank.
the main concept of this project is to bring nature home in smaller scales.
having such miniature landscapes not only add beauty to your living scapes, also the visual effects like natural light or FLOWING water, help reduces stress levels and improve moods.

The silicone hinges are probably my favorite part. How sturdy are they? What a need build; it's inspiring me to make my own, if only I had room!
Thank you, it's sturdy for a small glass like this, might not last long if swings the door very Frequently. I'll give an update after a few months.

It,s wonderful! Could you tell me what is the white foam that you put at the beginning between the crust and what is it for? And what is that black paste that you put with the applicator? Do you buy the moss or do you grow it yourself? Do you also buy the ferns?
Thanks, white foam is expanding spray foam to fill the gaps. . That black thing is silicone glue. I grow my own moss, sometimes I buy from aquarium stores. I buy Ferns from local nurseries

Silicone, super glue and foam are safe for fish and plants. You just need to make sure that it's 100% silicone. It's widely available and it costs just a couple more dollars than the regular silicone.

It's a general purpose silicone. screen mesh is from a local hardware store

What is the lifespan of one of your builds? Does the tree bark not decompose? Or does the tank start to grow algae?
It'll lasts few years. I've a similar tank in a very beautiful shape which I've made a year ago. maintenance, Cleaning requires to keep tank free from algae and molds.
