- I spent Sunday night in Glendale, Ohio with many friends. Buckeye Freight Railin`, Ninja Railfan, SD70AH, Ohio Rail Enthusiast, CINOzzieTV,, Adventure with Joey Boats.
We got some good action for sure!
We had 2 coal trains, a night train and an almost rain race just to mention a few. My recent college grad daughter even came over for a visit!

Quite the raifan cadre at Glendale, very impressive. The night electric car fuel train with signal drop was the best. So the coal will be used to make electric cars instead of fueling them, small distinction. Thanks for another night train fix, enjoyed it immensely. Thanks Scott!

A night train, a YN2, a near-train race, what a day! And a top tip: NEVER cross the tracks until the lights are off, I sure hope I can catch trains today, the Seaboard System HU is in the area!
I am in Hamilton and the Seaboard should be here in about 20 minutes!

Yep, that was a first for me too. Back in the day before the war on coal started, we would see them all time. Uncle Sam sure has killed that industry.

That was a very good mixed manifest, Scott! It had one tank car that had 2 compartments and a few green covered hoppers. They were cool 😎! It followed a short mixed manifest and a sort of long auto rack. Your daughter doesn't look old enough to have her masters yet. Does that mean I'm getting old? 😂 It's neat she wants to see what you do in retirement. Good trains! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah, she is 32 and I can`t believe that either! She was my first born and I am very proud of her. She has worked harder than I ever could have to get where she`s at and unlike me at that age, she knows where she`s going! Lol

you know Scott going by your pictures on here i figured your daughter would be a bit taller, she must favor her mother there! 90 coal cars at 90 tons of coal per that's a load for 3 engines! rare to see a cheapskate coal pull these days at least around here (except for coke) NS does most of it! i don't think they grind the tagging on coal cars anymore i heard something about soda blasting being the thing now they say you can stop at the original paint with that! you know cheapskate has a short hand for their pulls B is bulk being coal oil or alcohol (personally i think the B is for boom or burn if in a derail!!) G is grain I is intermodal M is manifest but i forget what autoracks fall under!!
Yes, my daughter does take after my ex-wife in the height department. My son takes after me as he is about 6 foot 4. Thanks for the info i=on the CSX lettering system. I knew what a couple of them were. I'll have to listen to the radio closer and see if I can hear what an auto rack is.

They hold the trains there around the curve till they have room in the Queensgate Yard for them. They sit on one of the main lines and wait. They can sit there for hours at a time.

She has 4 degrees now. 1 associate, 2 bachelor's and a master's. She works with kids with eating, behavioral and mental disorders. I believe the Master degree was in Social Medicine.
