    I just order mine today Dec 2023 . Love the review…
    I buy all my down jacket black so I can really feel the sun warmup the surface and trap the xtra heat in the baffles. Very glad that this quilt comes in black and it s nice with the vibrant orange colour to signal if needed .
    Can’t wait to get it in Jan.

    Appreciate the conversions! Much easier being British not working in inches and °f. Cheers. I just paid for a long wide and a x-therm nxt. Should be good to go!

    Just purchased one last week and have used it 2 nights in the lower 40s F...was plenty warm. I'd wager/am hoping with a high R-Value pad, it will work into the 20s, but time will tell. Was happy to see a review from a trusted source, reinforcing my initial thoughts of the product, thank you!

      @@Lonewolfwildcamping Yes. I have set up a great base camp here in England on the south coast. I am really enjoying my days off there learning new bush craft skills. I think I will leave my stove and one tigris tent hidden there and buy new pomoly gear for other places.

    That orange colour is perfect for signaling purposes, if you have an emerygency situation.

    Just my opinion on the straps. I use a top quilt with straps around my pad and really like havin em. Reason being is I turn from side to side a lot and it allows me to do that with it pretty much staying in place. A sleeping bag doesn't offer me the same freedom.

    Hey , great video!
    Do you think the regular version will fit me? Being 5’11 and pretty slim ?
    The large on just seems to big ..but I’m afraid the regular one will be too small..
    What do you think?

    I take my pad straps (ugq) on every trip outside of summer, not to keep drafts out so much as to keep full coverage with zero quilt movement while I move freely.

    • @Lonewolfwildcamping
      @Lonewolfwildcamping  Před 2 lety +1

      When it gets cold i just switch to a sleeping bag for tent camping , but I still enjoy the topquilt in a hammock in winter

      @@Lonewolfwildcamping I imagine Canada cold and UK cold are very different things lol. I rarely get to go out in anything below -6c and quilted down to that temp, I thought about going -12 but it would definitely have been too much, I’ve never been cold in mine. With a Pathfinder Belmont Blanket/tarp for emergencies it works for me. I’ve gone right off bags, even the UGQ hybrid doesn’t appeal to me.

    • @Lonewolfwildcamping
      @Lonewolfwildcamping  Před 2 lety +2

    Featherstone is having their Black Friday sale right now (11/25/21-11/29/21), 20% off. That puts the large/wide at $168...grabbed one myself :)

    Are you going to do more hot tent cramping with the t1 mini 3? Wanting to see how small it fits in certain sized tents due to a specific hot tent I'm looking at buying

    What would you recommend for someone allergic to down? Need an one for Ohio freezing winter for hammocks. I getting a hammock tent for a wood stove if that helps. Thank you in advance.

    Great review, I'm thinking that might also be a great liner for a synthetic fill cold weather sleeping bag to increase the temp rating and save a lot of weight and space in your pack🤔

    I do basically the same thing with a mummy bag. They're too small and no room to move, so it becomes a blanket with a foot box.

    I’ve found that the down gathers in places and then you just have material and no down giving you cold spots
