In my experience, I have learned that working for a Japanese company (e.g. Native Camp) who encourages self-reliance and independence, is the BEST COMPANY for me. Though, the best company for me may be the worst for you. So. I will share the reasons why my beloved Native Camp is not for you!

Yoh teacher Karen you have been such a great help I didn't make it the first time and got another chance aftr having upgraded my wifi it disappointed me on my second try now I'm looking to get broad band fibre with another company to able to write my test , aftr that il see to make all the other necessary upgrades like my headphones I was looking at the evolve 20s recommended by you , and how much I'd have to save up plus an external camera and a generator because of the electricity outages here in South Africa but I'm willing to do all that and put in the work to see the good results that you are seeing now , I'm new to this but il put in the effort to make it work i will not give up

As a South African who wants to work at Native Camp online, how do you actually receive payment from Native Camp if you only have a bank account associated with a South African bank???

No it isn't. it's just service charge for using the system of Native Camp. We still have to file our taxes separately.

I apply those using a video editor. There are free video editors online like Canva. Just search free video editors online :)

I've been hired for Native Camp for a month now and I only went on standby for two hours and instantly got 4 sudden classes. However, I don't like sudden classes.
Me too, that's why I do my best to convert my "sudden students" to regular students
@@TeachaKaren Idk... I have a feeling that the majority of the students go for sudden classes anyway even they like the teacher because the rate has a big difference. They have their favorite teachers -10 maybe 20 which all they have to do is to wait for them to be on standby. Not unless I become an elite teacher where students can book me for free, then that's my only chance of getting booked. Still, I prefer getting all my slots fully booked a day or two before by another ESL company than waiting for hours, conducting lessons with no preparation, and feeling nervous all the time. Despite that, I work for different ESL companies, I'm very thankful that I was hired by NC and I'm still willing to continue and give it a shot.

Good luck getting that much money as a tutor, the pay is low and sudden classes are dominant, regular pay (as least for natives) is around $8.60 for 2 x25 min lessons. the standards are low so it makes it easy to join. But from the student's perspective a lot of the tutors AREN'T native English speakers (ironic considering it's Native Camp). But be warned, NC can suspend you without warning. So be weary of people like this channel who kiss up to the company, while there's another side to the story. I got suspended for a complaint of too much talking (I saw only complaint in my reviews) however I have 93 5 star reviews and an overall 4.92 rating. Just to give a reality check
Hello teacher, question po sa Number 2 about ways to keep regular students. Diba po there are already teaching materials for students to choose from, then you said po that teacher should know the progress of each regular students by making own plan for them. Can you make your own plan for them po or like use different teaching materials na hindi sila ang pipili? How can we do that po? Insert that plan during class kahit may pinili na silang lesson number?

The lesson plan is more of understanding the student's learning history. I usually read the notes of the previous teachers to understand where the student's at and how's their process. Just in case I think the books are too easy or inappropriate, I suggest a free conversation class and recommend a book to use (non-Native Camp book or the student's own book)

Yes, maaactivate na yan dapat, kung wala kang student baka kailangan mo pa paghusayin yung self-introduction text, video and photos mo kasi pang encourage mo yun sa kanila na ibook ka
do you have regular students now?
Sometimes when you work so hard to get the incentives before the deadline. There's a glitch in the system that makes all your incentives vanish. I'm not sure how everyone experiences it. Perhaps maybe if you try to challenge their system or the 'abuse' that inflicts. The company can be 'black'. If you know, you know.
I had no idea they have sudden classes 😂 I have no english teaching experience and I was planning on trying Native Camp... Now I'm getting scared! 🤣

Native Camp should put this in their application information. Also, 208 Philippine peso equals only 3.67 USD. Is that the Native Camp pay rate? Transparency is always appreciated in their application materials.

No wonder NC has a Welcome Back promo for teachers.No one will stay at NC for a rate that is really low.
In my honest opinion, NC's advantage would be the "guaranteed number of students" once you have already established your reputation there.... but private classes are way better when it comes to the pay.

Whoa! that long? This month I had my demo lesson. Sa unang try ko naka standby ako ng wala pang 1 oras may admin nang pumasok. Sa 1st try ko na cut ang line so I received a prompt to "retake" ..pinalipas ko muna mga 10mins bago ako mag click button for retake and in few minutes lang pumasok ulit si admin..but unfortunately i failed the 2nd try and again received the "retake" prompt.. again, click ko agad ang retake button and after few minutes lang pumasok agad the same admin and I passed it. Now activated na ang account ko and can teach na but i am still reviewing the textbooks pa lang so i can give a worthy class for my students.

I have contacts who have scheduled demos this week, if you see that the "take demo" is clickable, then there are demos for the week. If it can't be clicked and / or there are no available time slots, it means there's freeze hiring. Their hiring freeze usually just lasts for a few days like last December, it only lasted for 7 days
