I ended up here trying to figure out how inverted digital works and this was infinitely more helpful than any other video I found. Great stuff!

Saw another guy try and do this, does the little box with the date come off if you peel off the stock film? Thats kinda all thats stopping me from doing this.. i have a gw5000u

Hello, no the box surrounding the date on this particular watch is on the screen itself and not part of the polarized film.
I cannot say that is the case with every single digital watch, but on this example the box is on the screen itself.

Quick question, how come you can't put the film on the inside of the watch meaning against the glass crystal?

      Great question!
The module is inside the case very tightly and adding 1mm of thickness would press too much on the module and crack the LCD.

Are there specific type of polaroid films or you can use any kind of polaroid film?

As far as I know you can use whatever. I just went onto eBay 15 years ago and picked a film that I liked. I don’t think it matters as to brand, but I may be wrong.
      Thanks for the great question!

Where can I get this negative display

    • @ourfamilyadventure326

Casio has some G-Shock models with a negative display straight from the factory. This video shows how I made my own negative display G-Shock using some film because at that time (~15 years ago) I didn’t find any negative display G-Shocks for sale.

@harinathhari6246 I bought this film from eBay around 15 years ago. I just bought some generic film, it wasn’t anything special.
