Listen I know people are sometimes iffy about the epoxy wood tables, but that standing desk unit alone makes up more than half what he's asking. This seems pretty reasonable tbh
@@DeliMeatTree are you... talking about 3d printing? thats the only plastic thing here.. and i dont see how thats plastic waste, because then getting litterally any tool thats plastic would be waste.
I watched a few of your videos that have to do with salvaging pallets. I noticed that the nail removal process has been rather tedious for you. I do recommend you use a pneumatic nail punch remover along side a drill operated floor scissor jack. Not only do these tools make it easier to disassemble pallets and remove nails they also help greatly reduce the damage done to pallets
Agree…whatever makes these repetitive jobs easier…you don’t want to have these processes come back to bite you later in life as in repetitive stress syndrome and see a MOMS trained osteopath…😉
Dang Morley! Looks like flexispot hit you up too?? They sent me a motorized base, I just released my video a few weeks ago… it kind of flopped on views😮… oh well I guess, on to the next one. But this build is sick man! I can’t wait for the full video!!! Cheers dude!!
I believe that pallets are marked with a code. This code tells you if the wood is safe for reusing for children's furniture, or items that may come in contact with food I believe. Talk to someone who handles pallets on a professional basis to see if they can give you that information so you have it when you are searching through the stacks.
look at the blue dyed one at the bottom of the stack of pallets he shows at the beginning of the short those are usually “throw away” pallets since they’re used inside of meat processing plants and they’re a big no no for making stuff with
I think I'd rather use it for fire wood, what's the point (reusing and recycling I know) of using pallets of you're just going to cut them up into something that you'd have no idea was a pallet, it could have been anything
Not criticizing your work, its looks good but epoxy prices and expensive tools seem to reduce the impressiveness of turning free wood into a couple thousand.
This is such a great idea and you did such a great JOB! You recycled pallets which aren't really free. Then you mixed an unrecyclable two part toxic material set it airborne then coated it with another two part toxic product. Where did your waste go? where does your dust go? The game changer should be that you created something that created an environmental problem for years to come.
Okay? But what is the point if there is actually green concrete on the market right now... The grass will die when you drive on it and look terrible as well.
Even if that was 200$ worth of pallets it would be a 10x mark up and giving that they're probably under 100$ it's 20x mark up 😂 ya I'm good I'll just get the free pallets from ace and apoxie and make my own for under 100$
On the cheap end those frames cost $200. The frames we could call 50 bucks. Assuming he spend one hour picking up the frames, 2 hours cutting pallets into diamonds, an hour for epoxy and finish work, 30 minutes on the chamfer and 30 minutes on attaching the frame. Convert that 2k CAD into 1.5k USD (real money). He's looking at a profit of 1250 USD for 4ish hours of the hands on work. This doesn't consider price of epoxy/finish, table time since he had to let it cure before sanding and my time estimates I'd say are on the relatively low side. It's really not an absurd price assuming the work is quality given that it's also an upcycled artistic piece.
@@tjfreckles1995 there's local lumber mills and stores that give away free pallets here all the time and scrap wood I would just have to pay for epoxy. You're just making me wanna make it more because I didn't realize people would actually buy these at this price point

Cool design, and I expect you will get some good offers on this one!
That’s awesome man. I’d love a smaller version for a coffee table
Hella clean bro. 👍🏽
That looks awesome!
As a fellow Canadian who knows our dollar value, that would’ve been such a steal for such an amazing looking piece. Even if it was as early as 2015
Damn Morley! I would love to buy that from you but it’s sad because I live in the U.S 😢
Really impressive.
I like how you raised the priced lolz

My only change: white epoxy.
How long to saw all those diamonds? Its a very beautiful table, love it👍🏻
