It's more than a little surreal to hear Megatron respond to a human addressing him without him being hostile.
You know, maybe Robosen should've considered that and made a "prick mode" in which Megatron would've been actively verbally aggressive.
You tell it to transform and he says something like "I don't take orders from filthy humans" and then refuses to change.

The robosen stuff is admittedly out of my realm,
But my jaw *dropped* when the little decepticon insignia twisted around to be properly aligned in tank mode.
God I hope they don't make a Soundwave. Not because it wouldn't be cool, but because I don't have the cash to burn and my shrine would demand the ultimate Soundwave.

The fact his decepticon badge flips around for vehicle mode is such a goofy but really fun touch.
The unique interactions Megatron has with Optimus is incredible. What an amazing anniversary year.

But I wonder how they make his cassettes. They technically need less budget for Soundwave since his alt mode is a "box". Not a driving vehicle. It would be funny to get a little walking Ravage. Or Rumble and Frenzy with automatic moving piledrivers. Laserbeak is almost impossible. He almost needs his own flying big drone toy.

While the Robosen figures are way out of my price range, I'm still happy to see the transformation on this is getting a little more involved
He has a voice line for Lazerbeak and Soundwave so that pretty much tells you a Soundwave is coming.
That and his G1 transformation can be pulled off in this “auto converting” style

Awesome review!!! For posing in robot mode while off, there is now an option in the app setting to lock the robot in a standing off mode. Just be reaaaally careful not to bump it over 🤣
One thing the made megatron tank mode right is how loud it is. Trust me. Tanks are loud. Like REALLY LOUD

I think those plastic strips are protection against the scratches whenever it transforms but I wish those were transparent instead

I feel like they should have saved “flagship” for Ultra Magnus. Probably a simplified Optimus, with the trailer being a wholey new construction.
Also, Megs looks perfect. And the abundance of Soundwave references makes me very excited that he might be next!

I'm glad the various youtubers are here to show off the stuff these robosen things can do, because… I mean… I can't really imagining them being much fun once the immediate thrill wears off. Do they even have an open API so they can be programmed in something sensible like Python or C# or whatever? I just feel like this would be my absolutely most expensive paperweight. My regular bots I at least take out and transform once in a while. That said: I'd absolutely love this one but in the deco of IDW's Megatron of Tarn, ie the pre-tyrant radicalized worker who wrote revolutionary treatises. Imagine this thing shouting about workers rights =)

This is the best Robosen Transformer yet, but unfortunately the Lithium Ion batteries are still not replaceable, which means that this very expensive figure will transform into a very expensive paperweight in a couple of years 😕

I wish Frank Welker used more _Prime_ voice for this Megatron, because his _Generation 1_ take on him wasn't particularly impressive than and is even less now when Frank is 40 years older. Still it's a dicisively minor aspect of a technical marvel that is this thing!

Why do they keep making megatron a tank ??? He was never a tank in the original cartoon, yet all the 90s toys had him as a tank instead of a hand gun. Why is it so hard to have him transform into a gun, that we can pick up and hold ? Even shoot plastic darts or some projectile from ?
