For me, this song is why Herbie sticks by Rose for so long - he sees something heroic in her relentless optimism, and can't help absorbing a little of it himself.

I saw this on Great Performances and remember when they were talking about bringing it to Broadway. However, Patti Lupone had just done the most recent Broadway production and it was great!!! Only a fool would follow Patti Lupone.

Me too! I just saw the song in the movie Eloise at Christmas, and was trying to remember where I saw it first. I could see the costumes and couldn't remember where I saw it first, then it came into focus... Brady Bunch!! Loved it then, love it now!
