- In this weeks episode of THE TEST we will test how fast that turbo charged stock to the bone Mazda CX-7 can get to 0-60 and 1/4 mile.
We will try 3 attempts on closed road to see what will be the best time that we can get out of it.

WOW Weight is KILLING IT.
OMG, I can’t believe my 2007 AWD (GT) was that slow when oem, I think there is something wrong with that FWD as I barely see traction control activate, and the ones I have tested are difficult to launch with traction control disabled.
My AWD has a bigger TMIC, TS BOV, the useful at higher turbo pressures K&N filter, and a professional tune with 17+ psi pressure. Intake and exhaust oem to maintain noise levels, I have a MS3 at stage 3+ so noise on an automatic is pointless.

Manual can do about 7 seconds 0-100 I’ve tested it
The max horsepower range of cx7 is 2500-5500. You should try to shift gear up around 5500-5700. Should score close to 8.0

How did u take off the rev limiter cause mine only goes to 5000 rpm ?
car ain't running right if it won't go over 5000rpm
can u please do timing chain on this cx 7 ? i got the same one but it needs a chain.. would appreciate it
Man mine needs one soon too. I looked ag it and it looks like a total bitch like EVERYTHING on this sob. Cool when its working, like a bmw.
Mine skipped its chain, think it may need a new engine and not just the top end replacement.

My Old Hyundai sonata Es 2.7 v6 automatic 173 HP...Naturally aspirated does quartermile in 16.5 seconds...dont understand why mazda is so slow with a turbo

My 1984 ford Telstar 2.0 carb motor lol only mods were extractors and exhaust and good conditions and I'had good runs I did 16.1 seconds years ago so yes my car weighed 1070kg not 1700 ish but I had about 110 hp this is crap that mpv turbo should be doing 15.8 to 16 flat

@@callang9 i was talking about the total weight of the cars,not only engine. Considering the whole car I think the mazda is heavier

244 BHP (crank) for the automatic CX7 is the correct spec
The Mazdaspeed 3/6 had 267 BHP as you mentioned, because these cars are manual transmission
I know, I have both the AWD CX7 and the Mazdaspeed 3 professionally tuned, both… 310 BHP and 425 BHP in that order
This car is heavy and drink alot of gas the 10L/100km isnt even accurate
