- In episode 200 we take our van off-roading to explore an area of Baja California that we have never seen before. This is in the Northern State of Baja, the state most feared by tourist road-tripping to Baja. We decided to venture into the unknown with our 4x4 Sprinter van all alone just two of us and our baby boy.

That baby is gonna have an epic childhood! Well, he already does!
Moments like that are just grateful. When you are there and it’s just meant to be you guys! So glad to hear it. What a great stopover. Cheers. Viva Mexico
Couldnt agree more Dan! Thank you!
Wow! What a great Spot! Loved seeing Wyatt's first time in the Pacific Ocean! (those Drone Shots...amazing 😍)
Thanks guys! We were so stoked on it, would have went further if we had enough gas!!
Recently subscribed. You have hit the sweet spot you three!! Keep up the great work and continued success and best wishes!!
Welcome to the channel Scott, stoked to have you here! Thank you!
Great video! I’m really happy for you.
I did it solo with a 3 yo…
🐓 waited for the potty training 😂😂
Thanks for sharing 💜
Best wishes!
Haha smart no diapers!!! Thanks Linda!!!
We’ve been in that diesel situation several times down there. We filled up at every station we saw no matter what after a lesson learned moment.
I hear ya there! We do as well!!!!
It looks like drone shot is from Mulege area@@MathersOnTheMap
A little north of that near San Ignacio!
Legendary!
Hmmm Little Wyatt eating a sand sammich, eh? In Mexico... 😋🤔
haha he's tries anything he gets his hands on
What!! You guys have a baby 🎉🎉❤
Glad to see you guys made it! And Wyatt, almost 10 months! Time flies. Btw, finally shopping for our sprinter. Going to Mercedes tomorrow. Enjoy Baja! 😎
Thanks Rod! So exciting!! Congrats on the new van!
Question? MB offered a parametric special module. I had him remove it. Are you familiar with that? We’re having the van built from Mercedes special order. I’m doing the van build.
12:33 fantastic place so happy for you guys in the new van. In the new addition. Amazing in January that you had that spot to yourself. I’ll have to check the newsletter.
It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows unfortuantely! excited for next week's video!
Well life is that way sometimes. Just remember when you guys are headed back to New Jersey from Mexico you can always park in our driveway for the night I have a barn with an extension cord, etc..
What a spot ❤ beautiful!
Thanks Elizabeth! Hope you have a great week!
Do you ever hear Epidemic Sound tracks in other CZcamsrs videos and instantly recognize it? lol. Great video, guys! That night sky has to be epic there.
Totally 😂
Haha all the time!
I'm no off-road expert, but do you have an air compressor onboard? If so, you could partially deflate your tires to make them far more able to negotiate the conditions you saw on that beach. It's time consuming, but apparently very helpful. I don't have 4WD and my van has dual rear wheels, so it's a PITA to air up and down. But yours should be pretty straightforward.
I agree, I have a system that is basically designed around a portable scuba tank with an air hose to refill the tires. Lower your tire pressure gives you more of a contact patch and better traction, also if you get on a washboard type surface, lower tire pressure eases the roughness. You could probably go down to 15 to 20 psi and be golden but dont drive on the highway like that!
Agree we aired down on the way back out of this spot and a ton more on this trip so far! I'm afraid to go lower than 22 front and 25 psi in the back due to the weight of the van. it's definitely a lot more comfortable!
Good video! You guys are the best for convincing my hubby to go to Baja w our van.
Omg that’s awesome!! I’m glad y’all came down!! I hope you love it down here as much as we do!
Hola amigos, just recently viewed your last video. Got a chuckle out of your border crossing as the same crossing could not issue any fmm’s because their computers were down. Same feelings parking our motor home downtown Mexicali with 3 dogs in it . Maybe run into you guys if you hit
playa Los Cocos
so frustrating!!! haha it would have been smooth sailing if they had FMMs available. We skipped bahia de conception believe it or not 😬
Love this video!
Thank you!!
Awesome video guys , it's not going to be long before Wyatt takes his first step from the way he way stepping between you guys on the beach. Awesome scenes , and some great four wheeling at the end LOL Take care , stay safe
Thank you!!! Yep he’s almost there!!!! Loves the sand which is cool!
Hi, great video guys it’s good to see you out adventuring with Wyatt. I’m crossing everything to avoid jinxing you but do you have some sort of supported recovery plan in case you get stranded somewhere remote?
Yes of course! Starlink, plenty of recovery gear and friends in Baja!
Great adventure and traveling across the pacific ocean
thanks Ryan!
@@MathersOnTheMap You're Welcome!
Awesome, but be very careful there.
Thanks and Will do!
Just found you thru New Jersey Adventures. I subscribed :) Love your build. I have always wanted to do Baja, but afraid because of safety and road conditions. I will be following to learn more and to see the camping areas. Is your van 4 wheel drive? Those dirt roads look sketchy.
Awesome welcome to the channel Kathy! Baja is our favorite we have 4wd now but didn’t back in 2021 and we did just fine, we have entire series from then as well!
🎶 track? It’s *On a Wire* by *The Eastern Plain* - and yes we are THRILLED to be your trusted provider.

// Epidemic Sound
Did you make it back and have enough gasoline? Left us hanging! Is Baja sketchy? Do you guys always feel safe?
Yes we did John! We didn’t go as far to the surf spot unfortunately, we didn’t want to risk it. Yes generally we’ve felt great here if we have doubt anywhere (even the US) we move somewhere else always have a plan B
Any Jerry Can ???
You need to carry a jerry can of fuel
Im trying to talk my wife into going down there with me but she all sketched out. Howd did you talk your wife into that ?
That's Cartel land, don't stay to long.
I don’t think the Cartel is on the pacific coast of Baja
@@MathersOnTheMap they everywhere in Mexico.
That poor woman.
Is it throat cancer?
Too much sand in her margaritas?
Does she gargle with gravel?
No
