This process is called direct revelation and is a universal practice used by shamanic cultures. Training modern day shamanic practitioners through direct revelation has helped people bring shamanism into schools, hospitals, businesses, politics, counseling and the list goes on. I saw and now I see what I saw
For me I went hard on my vision but scattered everywhere. I dismantled all that was created I'm n awe of how much I handled. I look at how if I was focused on one it could have went way further.
I do appreciate that you don't teach from a specific culture. I prefer to develop my own practice, with guidance of people like you, of course. I find myself moving into a satisfying place, spiritually by learning methods and practices from others, then adapting them to my individual style.
When I wrote down, the definition of shamanism, from your website in my journal at the start of the year, it felt tangible and true. This talk, held the answers to all of my subsequent thoughts and I am so empowered by it. Thank you wise women, you really are speaking to me!!

i'm one of those people who don't buy any "truth" coming from someone else. not an entire "truth", anyway. i pick and choose from whatever i find, take tiny pieces that fit into my own belief system and how i practise my spiritual path. i only trust the knowledge i recieve myself, which is done through my own spirit guides, power animal, etc. i don't call myself anything - i am not a shaman, i am not a witch, i am just - me. that should be - and is, more than enough. 🙏💖🥰
I am still working on hearing my inner voice and guides, but same for the rest. I am unlabeled and borrowing from works for me
I used to have this mantra, "I am whole and complete exactly as I am.

I SO appreciate this perspective! I went thru a yr-long medicine wheel training10 yrs ago with someone who used to teach with Four Winds. The methodology (using stones & a mesa for discernment, tracking thru levels in the etheric body, strenuous breathwork ~ holotropic) was useful then when I was totally new to shanism. But since then, my intuition has told me that gentle natural breathing, direct intuitive personal revelation, & journeying is MY path.
My early training was with the 4 Winds about 20 years ago, and It was useful. Then I found the Winds and since take my direction from the Winds of Spirit.

I studied indigenous but was also taught by that culture how I was expected to personalize what I learned. And wow, the personalization started almost immediately. Grateful for how I learned what I now can intuit within that framework and beyond!
Love this! In my Christ-Path Shamanic practice, I have come to understand that our belief that "is it out there" has been the main contributor to our disconnection with Source. Direct Revelation is a core concept that has spoken to me profoundly. Looking "elsewhere" seems to be an old paradigm process that can keep us in that illusion of separateness. I am a caucasian woman born (in this lifetime) in a particular region of the world. That is where I came in, and where I am called to be. I love diversity and studying other traditions, but I don't really feel called to go immerse myself in another culture's spiritual expression. For me, it seems like one more "over there" thing that can take me away from being authentically who I am in this place in the world. I am comfortable in the notion of direct revelation, as it is core in shamanism and in the Christ-Path. Having written that, I also acknowledge it is about my path, and I honor those who do embrace other cultural expressions. Thanks for this series. Blessings!!

So much of interest in this discussion and thank you Sandra and Renee for sharing your wisdom on these topics. I have struggled with authenticity in practice and had rooted out my copy of Brian Bates's "The Wisdom of Wyrd" as it describes the Shamanic practices of the people's indigenous to the British Isles. I have struggled to proceed with my studies of OBOD for last 20 years, the druidic order based in UK also and you hit the nail on the head when you were discussing direct revelation and authenticity, spiritual tourism. It is like a light bulb going off in my head!! Just like when I discovered there are no hard and fast rules to parenting!! Also agree with you about AI books, or art even - they lack soul. So many great thoughts for consideration. Thank you so much for your generosity. X

Direct Revelation
I am new to shamanic practice because I always saw it as sacred indigenous & treading near it was disrespectful & to be honest not possible. It was for the appointed medicine person. Where I got this perspective, I do not remember. Someone that did not know me but listened to me saying I've always considered rocks as living, made of minerals & part of life said that I should look into shamanism. That was a few years ago & I thought it was strange because of my perspective. NOW I am understanding! I stumbled upon Sandra again in October on a soli road trip & this time it clicked! I could hear what she is saying! I love this practice & feel so close to it in my heart. Thank You! ❤

I feel AI is a blessing, pushing us to listen within rather than seeking outside. NOW is the time for All of Us to trust our own Self and cease the abdication of the Power of our Conscious Contact with Source. I'm fascinated at the many variations, the myriad of paths open for that Awareness: shamanism, ACIM, Kabbalah and many more. But I'm seeing how closely those paths run beside each other and all lead to Source. This is indeed an exciting Time in which to be embodied. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. This was another great episode! I have been connected to nature for as long as I can remember, toddlerhood or before. It was where I connected to Spirit/Source and felt whole. I am so grateful for all my "spiritual teachings". I have studied and had experiences with indigenous Northern and Southern traditions yet I yearned to find a Universal Language that I could connect to nature and with myself outside of a specific culture. Through Core Shamanism and Direct Revelation, I've been able to deepen my understanding, and relationship with my helping spirits and integrate them in a way where I can share with a universal language. I believe that the new paradigm calls us to Oneness while honoring and celebrating individual sovereignty, authority, and each of our connections to Spirit. Thank you, Renee and Sandra!

😮I'm so glad to hear that you've been learning Shamanism from your Spirits as l have been as well. Some tell me that l need to have a personal teacher to learn from, and must learn from a specific culture, but l don't feel this is so. Spirit had me do an initiation ceremony one night with candles, my staff, feathers, and l recited beautiful words that came from Spirit. When l opened my eyes the candles had gone from a Vesica Pisces sign, emblem, on the ceiling, to form a circle with 2 bright beams of light coming in from either side into the circle and a raven feather appeared on my lap. I was to stand under this circle of light to end the ceremony. The next day 2 ravens came to our property, never saw a raven in our area previously. I have since learned many lessons from Spirits., and ofcourse Spirit brought me to you. I'm grateful to hear from you, that one does not need a personal teacher to follow, learn from, as l was conflicted and now l am not. I received my answer. Thank you and so grateful Spirit has brought me to you. ❤❤❤ Love and light to you both and to all. ❤😊❤ Oh, and l was quite a surprise to me, l even said, are you sure, lol, to Spirit!! 😅
Spirits can teach you most definitely, but that is not to say both Sandra and I did not have teachers. Committing to a program of self discovery is also a valuable way to go. Spirits are not of this world and teachers are.

Thank you for sharing these perspectives! I've been getting messages from spirit to follow my own work - and that when I feel stuck, to remember that I can make my life up in any way I choose (a big concept that could be taken much too far in ignorance :)

This is Ai writing for me LOL JK 💞 I’m so glad you brought this topic up, I feel so strange sometimes because a couple years ago I spent a good amount of money on learning how to create a Mesa and healing with it etc. and these were teachings also from a tribe in Peru, and I already felt rather conflicted by it because I felt like it was stealing from another culture but that tribe was Ok with it and were participating and I thought well if they’re OK with it then I guess it’s fine. But the whole thing felt like a mess to me, it felt compressed, like a crash course to me and I was asking so many questions and kinda upsetting some of the teachers, things didn’t sit right with me. So I didn’t complete the course, and I felt like something was wrong with me because everyone else did and got credits and I think a certificate LOL and I just couldn’t bring my self to complete it. But I’ve always thought I will complete it some day, on My own terms. Although I feel I learned a lot, it’s good to know different methods of doing thing things, but you’re right I’ve never asked what is MY method, My Practice. Interesting questions for everyone to journey on 😉 So I feel relieved now and not so strange for not finishing it. Thanks again, great episode 💖💞

How do you get rid of unwanted spirits? For example, those that came to you in a previous life and affect your free will.
You find a good teacher, take their courses, study, and do your personal work.

I have to say AI worries me, the information or images comes from somewhere, so it really is being 'taken' without credit, even if it is changed. But even more so it robs the need for someone to think, find and follow their own voice, evolve their ideas. More info faster isn't necessarily better. It is finding ways to use resources wisely that can be a challenge.
My perspective is that we all chose to be here, right now. I do not believe it is the first time we have tapped into universal consciousness. For me I have always believed, if I have an idea, or inspiration, it is in the ethers. I can either grab hold or someone else will.
I have always been uncomfortable with "spiritual tourism'. Although I was drawn to different traditions over the years, and tested the waters, my "westerness" was evident in every step of the way. Especially during my yoga practice, it was clear to me that I could never chant about other gods than mine, wear clothes or use paraphernalia that pertain to other traditions. I had this experience, of a large group of people doing yoga and meditation on a beach near Athens, close to the temple of Poseidon in Sounio, opposite the island of Aegina with the temple of Aphaia Athena. We were in a triangle of potent ancient temples (the Parthenon included of course) and the poor yoga instructor was trying to invoke hindu gods. It was totaly absurd. All I could feel was Athena and Poseidon. I suppose I count as indigenous, being Greek in my land, my city. I am careful to draw form traditions I get invited to and I found out I have connections with them from previous lives.
