- In celebration of Black History Month, here is our interpretation of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” arranged by Roland M. Carter.
The Aeolians are headed to South Africa for the 2018 World Choir Games! However, we need YOUR help to make this trip possible. Next week we will release more information on how you can contribute, so stay tuned!
As an HBCU choir alumni, it's safe to say this piece is seared into the consciousness of all of who have performed.

Just how they articulate "God of our weary years, God of our silent tears, Thou who hast brought us thus far on the way..." really touches my core.

Top of the line. Off the chain. Anything and everything beyond excellent describes their performance. Can’t believe there are fools who gave this a thumbs down. Clearly they’re tone deaf. Superior job all the way!!! Principal James Weldon Johnson is in heaven applauding this choir for fiercely beautifying his work.

This is, hands down, the best rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” that I’ve ever heard. The composer, Dr. James Weldon Johnson, would be so proud of you all!! The students’ voices have beautiful tonal quality. I’m going to listen to other pieces they have done!!

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW ! This is the best rendition of this song I have ever heard. WHO IS THIS GROUP? Stupendous. This song needs such youthful vigor -- it gives it its true meaning. Every one of those singers looked and sounded like they believed every single word of that song.

(and I LOVE the sweatshirt that kep popping into view "sorry I'm late. I didn't want to come.' Oh man; I wish i could give those out to my students!!! )
