It's interesting, when you mention the Malasya GP and how it was when you said "Ok Nico is winning", it reminded me of the end of the Mexican grand prix this season, when the race was over and everyone was getting out of their cars I saw Lewis's face you could see his frustation and then I thought, look at him, I think he knows he is not winning the championship this year.

It was a good season. 2017 and 2018 were good too in the first part, when Seb was still in contention for the titile, often leading the championship, but at 2/3 of the season he would fall down.
2016 is the best season of hybrid cars so far then.
But 2021 is clearly better so far ! Hamilton vs Verstappen, Mercedes vs Red Bull, Ferrari vs McLaren, the Ocon win, the several wet races. Only the waste of a potentially great Belgium GP leaves a stain. I hope the championship goes to the last race !
    However, 2016 is far from the best season I've witnessed. I watch F1 since age 3 in 1998 and and 1999, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012 were clearly better.

From the seasons I've watched live I rank:
    1. 2005 ( Spanish bias)
    2. 2006 ( Spanish bias)
    3. 2012
    4. 2021
    5. 2007
    6. 2010
    7. 2008
All of those were awesome in their own way. And after those, probably 2016.
2011 and 2013 were enjoyable, except for the fact Red bull was insultingly superior most of it.
2017 and 2018 were very predictable, not too fun
2015 saves from being garbage because of Verstappen. I can only remember Hungary and Austin off top
    2009 was interesting
I almost forgot 2014. Way out of my top 10. I certainly wouldnt watch that again
Both 2019 and 2022 had their great moments although they werent too good overall
To sum up, I miss 2006-2010 years. A new world champion each year both in drivers and constructores. Beautiful and loud cars, smaller too. Great tracks. No drs.
Having said this, I love F1 nowadays as much as I did back then

    Turbo Hybrid Era:
    2021: 8/10
    2020: 5/10
    2019: 5/10
    2018: 6/10
    2017: 7/10
    2016: 7/10
    2015: 4/10
    2014: 5/10
2021 was definitely the best season of the turbo hybrid era, but this video was uploaded when the 2021 season was just beginning after all. After that, it's a toss up between 2016 and 2017, but I would also go with 2016 mainly because of the championship battle until the last race. Ferrari bottled it up with reliability in 2017 where we could've had the best season of the Hybrid era that year.
2015 was definitely the worst year of the hybrid era and probably the worst of the 21st century IMO, the reason it even got a 4 was because Seb saved some of it, it would've been a legit 2 or 3 otherwise, but overall this era doesn't even come close to the V8 era:
    2013: 6/10
    2012: 10/10
    2011: 5/10
    2010: 10/10
    2009: 8/10
    2008: 9/10
    2007: 8/10
    2006: 7/10
Only 2011 was average and even then you had amazing racing and especially Canada 2011, arguably the best race I've ever seen. 2012 and 2010 were 10/10 seasons... Almost like they were scripted...

    Amazing? It was boring
    1. Lack of competition. Its not fun to see a team won with a massive distance of nearly 300 points compare to 2nd place
    2. Only four drivers win at least one race
    3. Not many podium riders. Only Hamilton, Rosberg, Verstappen, Vettel, Ricciardo, Raikkonen, Perez, Bottas and Kvyat are podium sitter while 2020 had 13 riders out of 20 had score at least one podium

@@MadeByPerspective well I'm a Hamilton fan, and I'm still mad about Lewis' FOUR engine failures -- the infamous failure in Malaysia, and the lesser known engine failures he had which caused him to start from the back in China and Belgium, and from tenth in Russia. If his reliability had been equal with Rosberg's, Hamilton likely would've wrapped up the title with 1-2 races to go...
But yes, I do acknowledge that that would've sucked for neutral fans :P
