  • Whirlpool Washing Machine F28 Error Code (What Causes Error Code F28 And How To Fix It - Quick Fix!). In this video tutorial I will show you how to fix Whirlpool Washing Machine F28 error code.
When you see the f-28 error code on a Whirlpool washing machine, it means that there is a communication issue with the central control unit. The motor control unit and the central control unit are not interacting properly. The motor control unit powers the machine’s motor while the central control unit controls most functions like spinning, draining, and filling.
The following are some of the common causes of the f-28 error
    Loose connection or defective wiring
Defective wiring or a loose connection either on the central control unit at the top inner part of the machine or the motor control unit underneath the appliance could cause the error. When the error displays, the washing machine may not operate through the spin cycle.
    Moisture
Since the washing machine comes into contact with water, the moisture may interfere with the electricity. This leads to an electric mishap and a communication error between the parts of the washing machine.
Now, let’s look at the best solutions you can apply to fix the f-28 error.
    Reboot the machine
    ● Unplug the machine’s electrical cord from the power outlet
    ● Open the top of the washing machine and find the screws that hold the detergent tray
    ● Unscrew them and pull out the detergent tray
    ● Pull the control console unit reset lever towards you.
    ● Return the detergent tray and tighten the screws you removed.
    ● Plug back the washing machine in the wall socket and confirm whether the error is no longer showing.
    Check the wiring connection.
    ● If it is still displaying, inspect the wires to confirm they are not loose or defective.
    ● Unplug the washing machine and then unscrew the detergent tray once more
    ● Disconnect the motor control unit wire so that you can tighten the harness connection points.
    ● Take the central control unit apart and remove the oxidized bits using solder.
    ● Plug the motor control unit wire back into the central control unit
    ● Return the detergent tray and plug the washer back in.
    Replace the moisture sensor strips.
    ● Consider replacing the moisture sensor strips.
    ● These are two, and it is better to replace both of them at once to avoid experiencing the error in the future.
