  • Many misconceptions surround the Barbie movie, with some accusing it of feminist propaganda. This video discusses the movie's message about femininity and masculinity. The film doesn't hate men, or bash men - rather aims to lift them up along with the women in the movie. The Barbie movie has powerful lessons about healthy masculinity and self-discovery that both men and boys can learn from. And it's also good to see the world from someone else's perspective, which doesn't cancel your own. #BarbieMovie #Masculinity #SelfDiscovery #IamKenough

"No Barbie or Ken should be living in the shadows." Moral of the movie, and truth. I saw the same thing too and am glad you did. Good job brother.

The Barbie movie does try to tear men down, like how is men not wanting to be treated as second class citizens toxic masculinity or misogyny? If the Barbie movie really was inclusive then it wouldn’t have made it look like all the male characters in the movie are the problem. Without a doubt it’s still misandristic because it ends with the Barbies being in power and the Ken’s being treated second class again, so no the barbie movie does not do shut good for men’s rights. It only calls menu useless and toxic. It is kind of easy to tell by how they advertise it with “Barbie is everything he’s just Ken”. This is why feminism is looked at as not an act for equality anymore.

Well, it didn't make me feel like a second-class citizen, or useless. And Ken is never the obstacle Barbie must overcome to attain her own self-actualization. Yeah, Barbie is in charge in Barbie land ... because it's Barbie land, not the real world - but that's really just a satirical joke to point out how much women don't have equality in the real world. And I don't think you understand what "I'm just Ken" means - but that's what my video is about. Ken needs to learn who he is, and that is independent of Barbie.
I'd also just say look at how women view Ryan Gosling Ken in real life - they certainly don't think he's second-class. They love him, and that's partly why he was nominated for an Oscar.

Feminism is still about women being able to do and be things. The NeoFem movement of today is harmful just like misogyny is harmful. Barbie showed that on both ends, yet she chose the real world were she's a "less than" by most men. I understand you saw what you saw and yet missed so much still. Barbie World will be okay once they get used to getting to be who you are and not treated others like crap or less than or objects of lust. Most women will never get that in the real world. So let people at least enjoy it in a movie 🍿

@@nathanwillardfilmmakeryeah true Ryan gosling did make the most of out the movie funnily enough when it was meant to bring Ken down. But still the movie still ends with men in second class and the narrator even says that they have to work themselves up like women had to. So that’s pretty much saying matriarchy or patriarchy, That’s the controversy of the movie and why it is estimated to loose over 5 million because it’s sexist to men. But anyways I’ve heard that even if you focus on the portrayal of Ken in the movie then you miss the point according to others I’ve discussed with. Over all I think the movie just tells women that their better then men. I’ve even seen some anti man social media accounts with the phrase “Barbie is everything he’s just ken” not the mention Billie Eilesh was apart of it to. But over all it’s just a bad movie and completely ruined the brand of Barbie in my opinion.
