- For those of us married to our space ship size pedalboards, It’s hard for us to get excited about any multi-effects unit. Sure, there’s a lot of power in these multi-effect stomp boxes. But a lot of us desires immediacy, ease of use, and most importantly high quality effects that inspires rather than just a vanilla take on something every other Effects box is offering. Enter Chroma Console by Hologram Electronics, with its beautiful straight forward design and unique features, is it the multi-effects unit we’ve been waiting for? #lofi #jazzmaster #shoegaze

Ohhh fuzz and cassette is sweet! 5:42
Thank you my friend. 😬🙏🏾
Mine came last weekend. Haven't had a chance to plug it in yet. And I love your tee!
Plug it and have some fun! And thank you. :)
Hologram never cease to amaze me. Really want to check this out, I just love microcosm and this looks like such a fun evolution of sound design. The gesture has me super intrigued, seems like infinite possibilities there. Great sounds as always!!!
Thank you :) and the chroma console is definitely worth checking out.
Thanks for this demo. Cascade + Interference = soundtrack to life at present. Fun sounds!
Thank you!!! I'm going to have to mess around with the Cascade + Interference combo!
I love the look of that pedal! cool video
Thank you bud. always appreciate you.
Been a bit curious about this (and hologram in general) though I do look at their stuff as "probably outside my wheelhouse" but the people who do get it, who do love it and use it make inspiring shit with it.
Dude! I love Hologram electronics so much! I do agree, they’re definitely not for everyone. But, I think the best thing about them is how they inspire creativity amongst the people who enjoy their products.
@@JasonTMays I'd like to give their stuff a go some day. Just to see where it takes my shitty white boi blues.
@@GitShiddyI mean…try them out and make lofi ambient white boi blues, Make millions and thank me later!
@@JasonTMays Millions in Vietnamese Dong...the currency, not the other thing.
@@GitShiddy LMAO. best comment ever!
Really sounds beautiful in all the shoegaze and dreamy ways of playing these presets Jason ❤
Thank you, Joan! I definitely tried my hardest to make this thing sound somewhat decent. 😬🙏🏾
@@JasonTMaysyou did fine 😂 I have the same goal when I film my stuff too 🙌
Playing MBV with a jazzmaster. Love it. :D
Thank you!!! I feel like any time there’s a Jazzmaster MBV has to be played!!!
This was a fun one!
Very cool pedal and great demo comrade. Having gone a bit bonkers during lockdown on the gear front my quest is for less pedals, amps and guitars. Were I still in a boredom induced consumerist feeding frenzy, I am sure this would be chum in the water for me.
Thank you my friend!!!! I’m always happy to help others with their gear addiction. lol. Well, if another lockdown happens definitely consider this one. lol
Very neat sounds out of that little box, and looks very easy to use. As someone who grew up on the menu-divers, this is a refreshing change of pace! Looks like a very reasonable footprint too.
Thank you. I agree! the ease of use is quite refreshing It's quite reasonable in all regards! :)
FIRST! 🎉
Second!
Cheater!
@@mooseymoose 😉 for the algorithm.
A multi-effect with the quality of having a full boutique pedalboard. Love it!
Thanks! I'd like to think it adds spice that my bank account hates. lol.
4:24 thats the right sound
Thank you! I love a good lofi warble! 😬🙏🏾
Thanks to seeing your amp collection, I now have to change my shorts.
I'm gonna have to get an affiliate link for diapers cause that tends to happen quite a bit...and the funny thing is those amps aren't even mine. lol.
Personally I now find multi effects superior to a traditional pedal board. My two favorites are the HX Stomp and Eventide H90.
See, I think there's some really great multi-fx! The H90 is amazing and I LOVE it. but, Im just old fashioned and I love me some individual pedals.
I must have this device. And I thought I had everything re efx boxes both practical and strange.
Subbed as a MUH, fuh. 👍😱
Dude!!! Thats why I love this thing! It's unique amongst FX pedals and thank you for the sub! seriously that means a lot to me.
The Zoom multi-stomp series effects are way more versatile at a fraction of the cost
Respectfully, I somewhat disagree.
Admittedly, I haven't tried the Multi-Stomp so I can't speak on that, but I have tried the G1x and the G3xn and I found that while they are a fraction of the price..They're also a fraction of the quality (In terms of sound).
Also, I found those two Zoom multi-fx units didn't really lend themselves to being versatile in terms of sound/implementation and in that regard zoom comes across as very limiting.
I realize that's just my opinion, so I'm a little sour on trying the Multi-Stomp unit...But, perhaps I should give it a shot?
Thank you, though! 'm just glad we can disagree and remain civil about it.
different strokes for different folks.
If you got any other multi-stomp unit recommendations, Im all ears!
Agreed, you make some great points. I think the algorithms on the G1x, G3xn and multistomp are the same so you’re not missing anything.
I agree some sounds can be off or harsh like the drives and fuzz but I think that’s where dedicated distortion/drive/ fuzz pedals in a pedal board set up make more sense. Though for lofi it’s nice to experiment with “lower fidelity “ units like the Zoom.
I have used the Boss GT units, I currently have the GT-1000 core. I’ve also tried the HX stomp. These are better units with better sounding algorithms but like with the multistomp, some sounds might not be for everyone and they’re difficult to program.
You put it well, different strokes for different folks. I can see the Chroma Console is more versatile for features and types of effects and easier to program since all controls are on the surface. Sound wise based on your demo it does sound excellent (great playing btw). It’s definitely a nice alternative to the cluttered multi-fx market. It’s a niche pedal for experienced players, but for someone starting out I would recommend the multistomp.
