The Air Max DN made its debut on Air Max Day, and among the various releases, the "All Day" edition was notably limited, next to the Supreme collaboration. I managed to snag a pair from the SNKRS app, and my initial impression when unboxing them was positive-they look pretty cool.
I'm a fan of the black materials, the striking pink bubbles, and the extra pink shoelaces. They exude a futuristic vibe that will definitely turn heads. However, there are some downsides-the logo on the heel feels mismatched, and the loose tongue can be a bit annoying.
While these might become my everyday go-to sneakers due to their durability and comfort, let's talk about the tech. Is it revolutionary or just another gimmick? My verdict: it's not life-changing. The Nike Invincible 3, for instance, offers more comfort. The Air Max DN is a cool-looking and comfortable shoe, but the tech doesn't live up to the hype.
The Dynamic Air heel cushion features four tubes separated into two chambers, with air exchange capabilities between them. This design aims to create a bouncy sensation as you move. Nike markets it as "dynamic motion," but in reality, it feels more like a standard Air Max experience, albeit with large bubbles that enhance comfort.
For sizing, I recommend going half a size up due to the snug fit typical of Air Max shoes.
In conclusion, the Nike Air Max DN Anthracite Light Crimson is an improvement over previous models, but it falls short of being the future of Nike. Despite its shortcomings, it's a solid sneaker worth considering.
