Sorry i think my comment objectified our asmr talent too much. I guess i wanted to convey that she is quite fit and healthy looking already... Jen doesnt need to get muscles unless she wants them. Like ryan reynolds in free guy.
@@easylee visible ab muscles is a product of a lot of things, muscular development is not commonly high on that list. In this case it's primarily from low BMI and probably some genetic predispositions

I’ve also just started working out for the first time ever recently and I have never been happier in my life, the HUGE thing is sticking with it and not having days where you procrastinate and say “eh I’ll skip today”
ALSO research correct form for workouts cuz you will end up doing more damage than good if you do it wrong
My doctor just gave me the go-ahead to start strength and weight training again after almost a decade without body-building due to my disabilities, so seeing this on my feed has me so excited!!! Here's to pumping iron and taking care of our bodies (safely, of course)!

@@PrinceRoyceFan667 I didn't know how to properly care for my disabilities when I was a teenager so I massively over-exerted myself while working out and just living in general, which ended up making me need a wheelchair now. Luckily I can very slowly attempt to build a bit more strength now that my body has had a lot of time to find what level of movement it's comfortable with. I have to do all my exercises while sitting or laying down, but it's absolutely worth it, I missed body building so much!
I'm gonna focus on bulking up this year and then reintroduce shredding after about six months of a stable routine.

Fellow skinny person here. My recommendations for exercise? Yoga is great for staying limber and flexible as you get older but doesn't burn a lot of calories. Pretty much everyone can benefit from 20 minutes of cardio a day. I prefer an exercise bike for that as running is super painful on my skinny joints and the weather where I live is not great for outdoor exercise. An ab wheel is cheap and great for toning the ab muscles.
Maybe yoga doesn’t burn a lot of calories but it’s good for everything else. Life is not only burn calories…
It’s awesome to see you get in to a fitness journey. I’ve had to maintain a workout routine since jr high, and have trained for different sports/purposes and it always makes me happy to see people get into it. Stay positive, stay motivated and welcome aboard! 💪🏽
Fun way to get some activity in is walking while listening to audiobooks/podcasts, even a video, etc. If it's bad outside, I just walk around my apartment. You can eventually move up to serious hiking if you like.
I gotta thank you for giving me a reason to get my body moving. It's something i've been telling myself i should do for the past couple months but haven't gotten around too. So i ended up doing the workout with you.

Fitness is a bit of a passion of mine, Jen, so I could talk your ear off about it if I'm not careful. But hey, I thought this video was great, there's no reason we can't find relaxation and mental wellness through exercise, just like we're looking for in much of our ASMR content😊When it comes to starting your fitness journey, the only real rule is: Don't be afraid to try new things! Exercise is supposed to be fun AND good for you!
Also, just have to say, love the workout outfit you chose 😅Anyway, thanks for sharing this video Jen, I know being a content creator always takes some courage, but doubly so when you're doing something you're less familiar with!

Thank you for being brave and making content like this. I dont make content at all, but i couldnt imagine doing something like. I aspire to be as comfy in my own skin as you are in your's.
That was great Jen, so refreshing, I do not know how you stand on one leg so easily, I fall over on two !!, love the top and bottoms combo, nice colours.
I actually really like this it's a perfect video to keep me company when I'm doing my own awkward workout and want to do a more chill day/not listen to workout music.
That's a pretty decent routine!
Generally, the key to reaching workout goals is a combination of safety, nutrition, and time invested.
I find the best way to keep the time investment is to find a routine you don't mind doing. If an exercise is annoying, drop it and stick to ones you don't mind doing to keep your motivation up.
Once you have a good routine going, check your nutrition. Cut some food to lose weight, or add (nutricious) food to gain muscles.
And for safety, be careful of back or join injuries and be careful around large weights.
Althrough really, the best benefit of working out is general health even if you stay at the same weight.

10/10 workout pants. Great video, because it's you being you. Plus, bettering yourself by staying fit. A little tip from someone that's always broke is to save your laundry detergent containers and fill them with water. They can make great dumbbells.
Jan, i have to be honest lass. I did everything to a tee - every movement you did... This was a proper workout routine right there. I work out twice a week and thought myself fit... You outdid me in that video. Major kudos to you!
I intend to do what i call the JEN challenge - this workout routine three times a week for the next two months and see what it brings.
Keep doing what you are doing and remember you have an incredible life and your pure heart deserves the happiness.

this video is great, im a complete beginner whos hobbies also mostly consist of sitting down ;_; this was really easy to follow along w whilst also feeling like a legit workout.. like u said a lot of youtube workout vids are overwhelming, super fast paced and bright. i try and follow a lot of those vids but end up spending more time pausing the video to try and catch up with what theyre doing than actually working out- but watching this kind of asmr, more relaxed workout i was able to keep up with your explanations while also pushing myself 2 workout. basically, i hope u make more of this kind of content! i think this is niche a lot of ppl would enjoy ^^ (also love the kuroshitsuji shirt)

This was really nice to listen to while doing my morning exercises! Followed a couple of the exercises you did while doing my regular ones, added some nice variety to my mix. I can definitely suggest yoga, that's the majority of what I do to work out, it has been doing wonders for my flexibility as well as preventing issues with my lower back. It also feels quite nice after finishing my routines, rather than other kinds of workouts just making me feel crappy afterwards

I'm sure you dont care or even going to read this, but seeing you in a normal everyday setting like this makes it even more apparent how good you can role play during your usual asmr videos. I mean surprise surprise, but coming from the e-girl/fake gamer girl video to this is such a difference. you really got a lot of talent is what I wanted to say.

Been watching for many a year love this video, im pretty underweight so to see you using "smaller weights," allowed me to humble myself with smaller amounts and take part and it was good very fun, of course a great asmr too with usual jen jokes lol 😂
I'm a light person as well (179cm and around 63kg) and I started to really enjoying bouldering in the last five years. Before that no sport really caught me.
The "upside" of Bouldering is that you just have to carry your own weight. And you can do it alone or with others.
To your video: no asmr with rambling vids for me but you always seem like the chillest and coolest person.
Love this. Very real and vulnerable and open. Don’t forget to eat protein after you workout. Helps build muscle.
You are doing it better then most people at my gym. They tend to train with momentum instead of muscle. Even though your weights might be too light your technique is better then most people at my gym.

This was a fun video, I liked it!. ASMR wise I thought it was good with the soft spoken style with some nice unintentional ASMR sounds.
Regarding your training, You could benefit from going to a gym and do some basic heavier exercises (but of course start at a lower weight for your level) if you want to add more muscles at a faster pace.
btw your trousers are the coolest i've seen for a workout 😄
This is actually fantastic. Finally got me to move and follow along. I would love a video like this a day, or maybe every week (depends how hard they are to make). Kinda like a little exercise vlog, in a way.
So much better than dedicated fitness channel videos. A lot more encouraging to see someone relatable on a similar level, that also is kinda yapping, keeping the mood really pleasant.
My only problem is that the camera microphone is not really the best, and collects a lot of white buzz. Maybe some people like that, personally I think it's a bit unnerving.
All the realizations of phrasing issues have me in stitches. It’s like when my therapist isn’t paying attention and she tells me to whip it out (referring to my life updates, trauma, and feelings)

You should try resistance bands for upper body and loop bands for lower body!💪I started using them for physical therapy and haven't gone back to weights much since.

That an unexpected video coming from you but i liked it. It's more like a "slice of life" type of video. If you ever make another one, maybe you could do a leg, glute and abs focus video. I think it would be popular. You could maybe follow along your favourite you tube workout.

I struggle to do anything lol anytime I actually do any exercise I always get really anxious for the next few days and think im dying xD so I feel it, and props for doing something lol
One thing I have noticed too is that since i weigh a lot less these days if I exercise i get super hungry and tired so food is key i guess xD

I want to change my style but i just feel like any of the styles i like won't look good on me.
that neck crunching is pretty easy to improve; there's a video here on youtube from "Marshfield Clinic Health System" called "Neck & Shoulder Exercises for Arthritis" which includes four exercises that'll loosen up and strengthen those muscles pretty quickly if done daily ^v^ Obvsl it's meant for older folks suffering from arthritis, but anatomy's anatomy.
Ok, she says she's not flexible, but if I try any of the exercises she did, I'm literally going to break my ass.

Been trying to work out more for a while but I'm pretty aimless when it comes to what I 'should' be doing. Joined in on the earlier reps in the video, will do the full set later when I'm not working.
This reminded me of Ring Fit Adventure. I even thought about getting a weighted jump rope. I did that for a bit but had to stop due to a life changing event.
