  • An intimate performance and conversation in the round featuring music from some of the most iconic songwriters of our time.
    Presented in collaboration with the Washington D.C. Chapter of the Recording Academy at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Music for Social Good was hosted by Dr. Carlos Chirinos, Music and Global Health Associate Professor and Director NYU Music and Social Change Lab.
    Wayna, a Grammy-nominated singer, actress and writer and Mumu Fresh, a singer, MC, songwriter, activist, and acclaimed hip hop artist, performed works by Bob Marley, Billie Holiday, and more as they discussed how activism impacts their creative process and ways music moves the culture forward.
