I just want to apologize for all the "ums" and talking slowly. I was very nervous. Phil is a great interviewer but everyone already knows that. I spoke slowly because I naturally have a thick southern dialect and i wanted to speak clearly. Trust me, i know my HS Speech teacher would cry.

Arkansas is not going to change. I know Arkansas hatreds well and the KKK is prevalent. Andrea what you are doing is brave and you will be isolated for speaking the truth. You should move to a community like Springdale. There are some towns around Arkansas that are dangerous.

hack man I think that way of thinking is like throwing the baby out with the bath water. I was terrified when Trump spoke of being a "law and order" president and now that he is, it basically means white race soldiers will be even more emboldened to kill blacks with impunity. I have a father, brothers, and nephews and am more scared than ever for their safety. I don't think blacks needed to vote for Trump in order for him to win- more than enough white people had (and still has) Trump's back.
As a black woman I have experienced racism in all parts of America. I was born & raised in Michigan then later moved to Indiana where I raised my children & now I reside in Texas. I'm also a truck driver and have been in some non racially diverse areas through the year's. My most recent experience was a few months ago in Springdale, Arkansas at a Pilot truck stop off Hwy 49 by a young white male employee. He tried to throw me off the property after trying to make me pay for a handicapped parking spot & went so far as to call the police on me because I asked for his name because I was going to contact corporate! Racism is everywhere & no matter where u live as a person of color u are not exempt from a racially driven encounter.
I am so sorry you experienced that. At the time I did this interview, I lived only an hour away from Springdale so I completely believe you went through that. I am so sorry.

Thank you everyone for the support. For everyone who has reached out and asked, I recently moved about two hours away from the headquarters. It's far enough to keep my children safer and close enough to still make sure that every time the KKK does a demonstration on the courthouse lawn I'm still there to meet them along with my oldest child, my son. My daughter is too young to understand but once she's old enough she will go along also.

Y’all I’ve been a traitor for years. I’ve always said the day I start seeing people kill white females and not go to prison I’ll move. They’re terrorists but they’re also bullies. Certainly no one standing up for themselves is racist because of it. But there is something deeply misguided in assuming that you are incapable of being guilty of the behaviour you are trying to eliminate in others. It creates a "Do as I say, not as I do" mentality that makes the Black people in question seem foolish and ignorant.

I'm from Beaumont, TX and I have plenty of white friends that feel this way. don't get it twisted though, racism is alive and very well here. but there is hope and we have to continue to have these conversations. thank you Phil and a appreciate your guest for coming on and discussing this.
The problem is they say they feel this way in the moment there's a problem they revert back to who they originally were. You don't want to ever get that confused.
I would just like to update everyone that since the death of George Floyd we have actively protested the kkk compound itself. It's nice to have a lot of people with me now! I learned about racism when I was 5, b/c a black single mom and son I grew up with lived two doors down. We still keep in touch. They were they only black family within blocks of us that I knew of. Luckily, our block wasn't racist and we were all friends.
This is a great lady trying to make a change . you never know when her son is grown he may help bring a peaceful revolution and defeat .

I wanted to speak on the video regarding the woman from Arkansas. I think she is brave and a little nieave to think that what she is doing may not be harmful or even cause her child or children some emotional harm as well as psychical harm. She us right on one point that it has come done down to one kind of white person fighting another. You have some of the new whites liberal or Milliineals . Then you have the conservative conservative conservative or alt right or Republican types both have secretly been at odds or war for years, both sides feeling as if they can educate, buy, or move, their way out of the situations that at the very core simply comes down from how both sides either were raised from the home to believe and or act. For a long time you had whites who stood by and watched the mistreatment of blacks and other minorities they either sat in silence and watches or participated or knew others who did and did nothing, because either put of fear or simply they believed the treatment was fair and that if you were going to live wherever whites lived you simply had to take it and understand that was how things we're if you were not white. Now over time some have learned that this behaviour has called into play that other minorities are watching and have made it clear that whites are no longer running shit. So many of them pretend to be tolerant, or they have really come to learn through their own personal experience that things you might have been taught are not always what it should be. She is brave, I hope she and her family will be ok. God bless and keep them all.
